I traveled with a group of three other ladies. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. We selected the Hotel Indigo because of its proximity to an exhibit we were visiting, but also because it seemed a little quirky and out of the ordinary. Best part of our stay was the exceptional service. Everyone was helpful, friendly, and efficient. Alex (?) parked our car, brought up our bags, brought us extra chairs for our room, and delivered our missing water glasses with smiles! The young lady at the front desk on Tuesday and Wednesday was a delight and cheerfully helped us with some problems like our lost valet parking ticket! Our waitress for our breakfasts (if you reserve, add the breakfast option…you won’t be sorry) was amazing! The hotel itself is beautiful, and yes, a little quirky. We loved the renovations. If there was a negative, it was that the main entrance with the valet parking was on a side street around the corner from the official address. A little hard to figure out on a first visit. All in all, we loved our stay.

Cool visit and even cooler bulding. It's is the original Hilton that Conrad opened. So cool! It's updates are recent and we enjoyed our stay. Didn't get any amenities due to covid-19 but ok. The park across the street is filled with bums and drugs so enter at your own risk. My wife saw people shooting up in the open.

This was a family weekend with my 3 teen kids. We got to the hotel late at night and the front service desk guy was outstanding. As soon as he heard there was a birthday in my crew he offered a free soda to my kid which was very nice. We had got a good deal with trip advisor but the assigned room had no view , then I asked for it and the attendant gave us a better one. I really wanted to like the hotel because of the great service but…. Room was outdated. A/C was very noisy between the cycles of constant on and off. Shower was clogged and we all had very quick showers to avoid the situation. I would have given the place a 2 stars if it had not been for the fantastic service. The front desk guy was way too kind and created a nice check in experience. Parking across the street and the connecting bridge was nice as it was not too pricey. Still, next time we’ll stay somewhere else.

Room Tip: There’s a great coffee shop 5 min walk from the hotel - The Berni Bean coffee company. Don’t miss...

More like a 4.5* review. What a great hotel. The historic charm combined with modern upgrades and decoration make the whole place inviting. Staff was great and very friendly - Tasha, Nate, Bryan & Jonah all really made our stay perfect! . I saw several reviews complaining about the valet but we found it great. Call ahead when you need the car and then just pull up at front and they park it for you. Any complaints about the hotel are minor - BAD coffee from the restaurant. Was a little upset to pay $4 for drip coffee that was just brown water. Our room had 2 queen beds that were actually very comfortable for a hotel and a decent size bathroom, but it would have been nice to have a mirror in the room itself and not just the bathroom. 4 people in 1 room made it really hard to get ready at the same time. Also, when we got into our room, both toilet paper rolls had just a little on it and no spares so on the very first day we had to call for more toilet paper. All around though, would not only recommend hotel to others but gladly stay again.

I am highly disappointed with this hotel. I booked a few weeks prior to my visit. When I arrived to check in, I was charged more that the rate that was originally reserved. Staff was not friendly and welcoming. If I hadn’t reserved I would’ve went to another hotel. I would not recommend this hotel!

Response from Marcus Hennigan, General Manager at Hotel Indigo Dallas Downtown, an IHG hotel
Responded Mar 19, 2021
Khoeh2014, I do apologize that you felt the staff was not warm and welcoming. I am honestly surprised to hear this as this is not common at the hotel. You were not charged more than the rate that was charged. We are a full service hotel in which we do authorize at the time of check-in room, tax, and an additional $50.00 per over night stay. Please note this is an authorization not for final bill. Any unused portion of the authorization will be released back to your card within three to five business days. This is a normal practice, as we anticipate you would spend in the hotels outlets or other charges like valet. Again I am deeply sorry we disappointed you. We hope you will give us another try when you are in town, as we would like to show you different.
