I stayed at The Westin on my recent visit to Dallas. If you’re driving to the hotel, be aware that the entrance to the underground garage is on Elm Street, not Main Street. Friendly staff, great location, and a huge room. The best part was...More

Dear Patrick R,
Thank you for the thoughtful review. We are pleased to know how much you loved our inspired accommodations, devoted associates, and optimal location. All of us at The Westin Dallas Downtown look forward to having you visit with us again.
I opted to stay at the Westin because my usual SPG hotel was undergoing a huge reconstruction, and I didn’t want to deal with the mess. I’d never stayed at the Westin, although it is a higher SPG category than my usual hotel, not due...More

Very nice hotel in downtown Dallas. I usually stay at the Hyatt Regency but the Westin is a nicer hotel, is more central to downtown and had a good rate. I was upgraded to a large room on a high floor with a nice view....More

The Westin has a nice restaurant on the reception floor called the Grill & Vine - the burger & fries is awesome for $15! Within walking distance is a Subway and an Enchilada's Mexican Restaurant located right on the NE corner ~100 feet away. One more block in the same direction is a Jimmy John's sub shop. Directly north of the hotel is a Starbuck's & Chick-fil-A. And directly south, right across the street is a very popular Wing Bucket. Jason's Deli and a Which Wich is a block directly east and Chop House Burger is up maybe another 100 feet in the same direction. The Rodeo Bar & Grill is a block south of the Chop House, in total about 2 blocks away from the hotel, at the corner of S. Akard & Commerce Streets. I don't recommend the Iron Cactus, although it is also east and within walking distance. Have fun! My wife and I recently returned for a second visit to the Westin and this visit completely changed my initial thoughts regarding the property. Awesome room, awesome people, awesome service! Stay a few days and enjoy! :)

Hi Michelle. Thank you for your question. We are a little over 1 mile away from the American airlines center. I am not sure if going there in your wheel chair would be the most safe or comfortable mode of transportation as there are some sidewalks that are under construction on the way there. Please utilize our bell desk who can help with organizing transportation for you should you need it. Let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.
