I was looking for an alternative to the typical hotel and hit the jackpot. A spacious room with all the "extras" included. The owners are extremely nice and have designed the perfect place to stay convenient to downtown. One note, if you want to sleep in, this would not be your best choice. The location is right in the flight... More

It's very Californian/European. It is one very nice room, with a very nice bed. It is located in an upscale neighborhood and is close to great eating establishments and entertainment. There is a running trail nearby as well and you will see people out walking their dogs up and down the street. If you're like me, you may work in... More

Thanks to Kay and Jack for a wonderful stay in Dallas! The Guesthouse is everything we wanted, but everything we never expected while staying in Dallas. Jack and Kay delivered a delicious breakfast every day that we were there and were very accomdating when it came to food preferences. They had great advice when we asked for it, but were... More

My husband and I just celebrated our 6th Anniversary at The Guesthouse on Allen. From reading the glowing reviews before we booked, I was expecting a relaxing retreat from hectic city life, and the reviews were right on! The stay was VERY relaxing and private with the lovely terrace that we had all to ourselves. The beauty of a guesthouse... More

We have just enjoyed a lovely two days at The Guesthouse on Allen Street. A very pretty neighbourhood. A ten minute walk from the free M-line trolley that takes you most of the way downtown. Lots of good restaurants/bars within walking distance. Fantastic Tapas restaurant called "Si" immediately next door with happy hour 4pm to 7pm. We ate their both... More

My husband and I stayed here the night after we got married. The location was spectacular and the house beautiful! The hosts were great and made our stay comfortable. The room was large and there was a small backyard right outside of the room to enjoy. The next morning one of the hosts (I've forgotten their names by now) made... More

We have stayed here twice when attending concerts in Dallas. It is a quiet but spacious, well decorated room with large bath and dressing area. Looks out on a lovely courtyard with statue and fountain. Very close to downtown but very private. The owners deliver an excellent breakfast between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., at whatever time you desire. Two... More

We prefer B&Bs when we travel and this is one of the best we have seen. There is only one room but it is elegantly decorated and spacious with plenty of closet space, mini-fridge, desk, fireplace, small TV and shower w/o tub. A stone patio with views of downtown high-rises is pleasant for breakfast when the weather is good. The... More

Very low-key, beautiful accommodations that offer an alternative to your typical hotel. Quiet garden courtyard w/fountain is very relaxing. Walking distance from restaurants. Other reviews have covered it well. This was our second visit & we'd highly recommend it.
