We had a great staycation weekend during COVID! Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very attentive to COVID protocols during our stay. Our room was clean when we arrived and the welcome gift basket for Marriott elite members was a nice touch. Be aware that most things at the hotel are closed or operating at minimum service due to the pandemic. If you come into your stay knowing this, it will make your stay much more enjoyable. You must request your room be cleaned and give housekeeping permission to enter your room. This made us feel very safe during our stay. The highlight of the hotel is that the bar is still open with a full menu and a pretty good drink selection.
We had a wonderful stay at the Dallas Marriott Downtown, including a suite upgrade! The staff was friendly, the property and the room was clean and felt very sanitized. Great location downtown with lots to do nearby.
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are well designed and beds are comfortable. The bar downstairs has a friendly atmosphere and the hotel is situated in the heart of the CBD - short walk to everything you need. Cant wait until the boarders open up and I can stay there once again. I miss Dallas and this hotel
Stayed here for a girls weekend trip. Be aware most things are closed at this hotel still. Call ahead. We picked here so we could valet and have a bar in the hotel. All closed. The parking garage is around the block and self park. It’s hard when you have to drag your luggage around, when we specifically wanted valet. We got to the room and the thermostat was broken. Had to move rooms, it’s like they already knew it too. We were put right next to people partying till FIVE in the morning, I had to call the front desk and ask to have someone come up. Oh and the phone didn’t work, had to google the number and call on my cell phone. I would think with COVID we would all be spread out but they were right NEXT door. Crazy. No maid service we had to ask for clean towels. Literally bare minimum at this hotel right now. I’ve stayed at other hotels in Dallas during covid this was not the norm right now. No lotions or any other things in the bathrooms. One single bar of soap. It was clean but very minimum!!! Would not stay here again. …
I booked this hotel in lieu of all the other hotels I called because of their cleaning procedures. They said they allowed the room to be vacant 24 hours between each guest before cleaning. They strip the beds and wipe down the high places in addition to the normal cleaning routine. Walking in the glass doors were smeared and dirty looking. The lobby looked nice and the Front Desk Attendant was very friendly. I got to my room and found hair in my shower. I called, she had someone inspect another room and moved me there. That shower had hair in it. They moved me to a third room where the shower was clean but had a hint of the smell of smoke. The bed was comfortable. The room was very nice and cool. Because of Covid, I think it's more important than ever to make sure rooms are exceptionally clean. Either way, hair in the shower under any circumstances is unacceptable. I canceled my reservations for a second night. My room was very quiet, #530. I expected more from a 4 star hotel. Valet is not in operation so the parking fee is $18 instead of the usual $30. There was plenty of parking to choose from.…
