Had a great experience with Hotel Zaza. The hotel itself is very unique (in a cool way!), and the staff are incredibly accomodating. We used the conference as a venue for a mini conference, and the hotel were great at setting it up with no issues whatsoever. The service was impeccable, food delicious, and they made it very easy to work with them! Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

Wow! Have you ever gone to stay at your grandparents and never needed to lift a finger??? Well if you haven’t you need to stay at ZaZa, this is my third time staying here, and I’ve been met with nothing but hospitality. From the room service to the cleaning crew this place is a machine, I couldn’t be more happy. I highly recommend staying here and making it your second home in Dallas.

An excellent boutique hotel in a safe area. We have stayed in downtown Dallas before, and I chose ZaZa due to its uptown location and excellent reviews. We were not disappointed! Rooms and common areas were clean and well-kept, service staff was friendly and personable (we requested extra pillows and they were delivered to the room in <10 minutes!), turn-down service was a welcome surprise, plus many included extras. We stayed in a standard double room, and do be aware the beds are full beds, not queen beds. We did not use the small pool; it’s more of a ‘fanny-dipper’ but looked clean and well-tended. On-site restaurant, Dragonfly, is superb, plus there are dozens of excellent restaurants within close walking distance. ZaZa is not a budget motel by any means, but to me the price was more than worth it for the safe neighborhood and outstanding comfort and service. I will stay here again when I’m in Dallas.

I had the most enjoyable first time stay at the ZAZA! What a fabulous boutique hotel with the friendliest staff and lovely amenities. Everyone was so warm and welcoming including their courtesy shuttle drivers! My room was enormous, and I can't wait to book another stay at the ZAZA, my new favorite place in Dallas!

My favorite place to visit in all of Dallas. I love visiting the Hotel located in Uptown Dallas. However my favorite thing about the Hotel itself is the bar at Dragonfly. Dragonfly is a luxury experience with an elevated bar Program. I don't know if Ive seen another collection of spirits like I have at the Dragonfly Bar. Best Hotel bar in Dallas by far.

I'm a Marriott Ambassador member since they came up with the status. I spend no less than 150 nights a year in hotels & always stay at the finest properties. Zaza Dallas is my top 3 for sure of any property I've enjoyed. Top notch service always. The one time I had an issue they more than compensated. Professional management with boutique attention. Thank you Karley & Alex for taking such good care of me and mt employees every time we stay!

The bar is great, one of my favorite places to spend an afternoon and evening in Uptown Dallas. The staff are all so nice and accommodating. The rooms are oversized and the amenities are topnotch. Definitely a Dallas staple.

We were in town for a friend’s wedding. He has been raving about this hotel for many years and we were curious to stay there with his glowing recommendation. However, this hotel was disappointing. Our room was not ready when we arrived, which was expected as our later flight was canceled so we took an earlier one, but at 4:45 we were getting irritated. We had been at the hotel since 2:30, and the front desk should have put someone on our room immediately knowing we were waiting. And at minimum, it should have been done by the standard check in time. The front desk was unapologetic and curt about it. So not a great start. Second, I was expecting something “avant garde,” modern, kitschy, funky, artsy, etc.” And it absolutely would have been—in the year 2002. It was SO dated and tired! It was that Tuscan style that was all the rage back then, complete with the requisite color scheme of burgundy, black and drab olive green with lots of gold leaf and ornate ironwork and heavy espresso furnishings. I get having one or two rooms in a kings castle design, but pretty much all of them looked very similar. The website is hard to use and for design lovers it seems to be deliberately vague and the photos of the rooms make it very difficult to get a real idea what they look like, with NO photos of the bathroom areas or balcony sizes. And not having ANY photos of the Notorious Suite is annoying. Put a warning label before you click there or something, but we would have liked to see it prior to booking. The Dragonfly bar was nice and the service was good, which was a highlight. I did like the food. Big plus. The pool however was terrible. It looked grungy and is also UNHEATED. It is woefully undersized, like a backyard pool at a house would be. The area around it lacked enough space for loungers so they had these padded plastic pads around the sides of the pool as their “solution.” No one could stay in it very long anyway and not being able to even swim comfortably was a huge bummer. Our room was a Concept Suite and was very, very very dark. It was difficult to even see to put makeup on. The dated theme had photos of models from the 90’s who are all old ladies now. The furniture was of high quality, which was good back in the day, but looking worn out and dinged up now. The sofa had broken springs and was very saggy. We could also hear the couple in the room above us for hours and hours. The soundproofing needs a LOT of improvement. I feel bad writing this but this hotel is in desperate need of a remodel inside and out to stay relevant and feel chic. If I am noticing this, others are too. I do like the idea Zaza has, with the fun themes and all that. I loved the little wine tasting cart in the lobby. I enjoyed the afternoon cookies. These are those little things that make a hotel feel unique and special. Keep doing those. But sadly, we won’t be back until they update with fresher new themes, decor and an improved pool. There are better places in Dallas now, and although their nightlife bar business might still do ok, the hotel likely won’t for upper end guests.

Hi sujoh3 i wanted to reach out and first of all thank you for such detailed feedback. This is the only way we can improve the experience for you and all guests in the future. I am sorry your room was not ready right at 4 and the team was not apologetic/ WE do have a refresh on the horizon for the hotel so that is great news. In Dallas we actually chill the pool because if we didn't it would be 90 degrees. I am so glad you enjoyed the dragonfly the team does a great job. You gave the team a lot of coachable moments and i just wanted to reach out and thank you for your business and apologize it was less than Steller. Would love for you to give us another chance and I would roll out the reddest of red carpets. Please email me if you find your self coming back to Dallas. I needed to get some work done during a two-day stay. That turned into a two-hour stay when I couldn't get anything faster than 1 Mbps download speed. I tried on the guest network and then called to ask to speak to internet tech support--usually hotels have someone outsourced who fixes issues (often by rebooting the hotel's equipment). Nope, no support. The front desk told me to try the "conference" network. I did--no speed change. I called again and was told to use the "business network." That one was worse. Speeds were consistently around 1Mbps up and down. Compounding this was my a/c not working and the room being hot. I probably could have gotten that fixed but without functional internet, it didn't matter. So if stay here, stay away from the concept and magnificent seven suites, as I believe all are on the top floor (4th) which is where the manager acknowledges having internet issues. I've stayed at the Austin and Houston ZaZas before but this is nowhere near the same caliber. Very disappointing. I checked out and went to the Rosewood less than a mile away.

Have you ever been to a place where you're treated like royalty? This is the place!! As soon as you arrive, you're greeted with a huge TX smile before you even enter the building. The front desk takes care of you right away and even if you have to wait for your room to be prepared after the previous guest, your eyes will be delighted to take in all of the decor in the lobby or the hall to the dining room. It's like nothing I've ever seen before. (Check out the collage of photos outside the restrooms). The spotless rooms are stunning! The delicious food at the Dragonfly is also beautiful. The best part, I saved for last. Juan and Ernesto in the dining room (Dragonfly) are incredible. On there toes, attending to your every wish (within reason), they are the sweetest, kindest people. I can't wait to go back and see them again!! (Actually, that's in the very near future). I can't say enough good things about this hotel and its staff. Check them out next time you're in Dallas but please don't take my room. 😉
