We are an independent hostel located in the heart of the most eclectic and vibrant neighborhood in Dallas... Deep Ellum! This bustling district is the epicenter for nightlife, live music, bars, restaurants, breweries, and art. The Deep Ellum Hostel is brand new! We opened our doors in July of 2018 after completing an extensive renovation project highlighting many of the century-old details throughout the historic building. Our guest rooms have been appointed with every comfort and modern amenities to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

I had a fantastic stay at the Deep Ellum Hostel for a week. Russell, the general manager, was incredibly nice. He helped me with my two pieces of luggage and pointed me to a lot of right directions. It has everything I need. There are chargers next to the bed that I could lie down and charge my devices. A kitchen with utensils. A microwave. An ice machine and a fridge to store my stuff. Rachel, the manager was exceptionally wonderful, and the guests and everyone who worked in this hostel make this an amazing stay.

Great beds with privacy barriers and sperate plugs for phones / laptops. Facilities very clean, not a party hostel though in the hipster hub of Dallas (Deep Ellum). Stayed here twice, very happy here both times and great value.

Staff was not friendly. Rooms were warm...it’s Texas in the winter so no air just a clip on desk fan in each bunk. Not enough to help the heat. Booked an all male dorm and was told upon arrival it was co-Ed although at the moment it was all male. One of the staff apparently lived there. The door to my room was never shut and locked. Never used my key once. No hot water.

Really disappointed with my stay. I stayed for two nights and both were unbearably cold. The first made better by a guy talking to himself all night. The decor is modern but soulless. There is no communal feel to the place. The location in Deep Ellum is good though, plenty of great food places all around. Wouldn’t stay again.

The cleanliness is bad, in particular in the bathrooms.it should be twice a day. Even being daily, it is nos deep as same hairs and nails remained in same places through days. Leaving this aside, almost all staff is great and willing to help. This makes a difference. Rachael could work in a 5 star hotel. Please take into account deep ellum is noisy with much night life. Hostel can provide earplugs. The Hostel is perfectly accesible by bus and train to downtown and other places.
