The Hotel was recently Rebranded and is not Fully converted to Renaissance / Marriott Bonvoy Standards. As a Titanium member I did not receive status acknowledgement and was not upgraded. Also, there is no Concierge Lounge available. I did receive Breakfast Vouchers. There are no Gluten Free options. The cook was willing to fry me an egg in a clean pan, though. Parking is free. I will not stay here again.
Captivated from the moment I walked in! Lobby is beautiful! Keelon at the front desk was quite charming and funny! I’m pretty persnickety when it comes to food but I was satisfied with the breakfast! Definitely will come again!
Shower had a leak under the tub which leaked out into my room from under the wall and it went under the wall into the main hallway . I asked front desk clerk if I could change rooms and he told me very abruptly as he was looking at his cell phone that I had to wait after 4pm. It was 1pm. Maintenance came to the room to look at the water leak. They advised me they would advise the same front desk clerk that I needed a new room, and that he would tell him to call me when a room comes available. 430pm, no phone calls from front desk. So I went down there again, and the 2nd shift clerk was very helpful and POLITE and gave me another suite which is what I booked originally in the room that flooded due to the leak in the tub. I’ve stayed with Marriott over 100 nights since Jan 2022, and have stayed at this hotel multiple times. The way I was blown off by the front desk clerk was completely unacceptable and made your hotel look very bad.…
The hotel had my wake up call 5 hours in advance and they missed it When enquired about it the did not seemed to care Another bad point is they don’t have food available all the time After about the pm there’s no food available They cover this with some cold salads on a fridge Salads look like they been in there for a while Manager actually didn’t show up
Great customer Service! The room was wonderful, Beautiful Hotel! I loved the charcuterie board and wine for a late dinner. Will definitely visit again. Meeting friends in May for another wonderful weekend together
I was in Dallas to stay the weekend before a business meeting on Monday morning. I have stayed at this hotel for 10 plus years, when it was an Omni Hotel property. Seeing that I am a Marriott member and I know the layout of the hotel, I made a reservation through Marriott. The service with the Renaissance staff was wonderful. Room was comfortable, clean and plenty of hot water and water pressure. No cross room noise, so I slept undisturbed. Thee was a cheerleading group there, but no issues with noise. Had a drink and a small appetizer at the bar area, bar staff were polite, quick to serve and friendly. The best customer care I observed was the staff at the front desk. A young man named Patrick checked me in, noted that I had done the Marriott app checkin, acknowledged my membership and even had changed my room to an upgraded, larger one, that really made my trip more relaxing. I then watched him later as the cheer kids would go and ask questions or inquire about battles water, he handled each person with a smile and a positive and helping end. As my work involves customer service and care, I enjoyed sitting in the lobby and watching this young man making positive connections for the hotel. Over all, a great weekend and still a great hotel in the North West Dallas Area. Thanks Patrick and Renaissance Hotel.…
WORST Marriott in 40 years of stays! Titanium Elite not acknowledged No upgrade checked for Hot water only in bathroom sink Feathers everywhere-we are allergic Manager on duty argued with my husband about the room Said it was already de-feathered We waited 4 hours for someone to bring us foam pillows and remove the feather duvet RUDE front desk worker
We stayed here for a Cheer Competition....it is a very old and run down hotel with rude staff! The pictures in tripadvisor are not reflective of how the rooms look today! 1- Upon check in 1 person working front desk for a cheer competition with lots of people checking in line was very long and clerk was struggling....manager and other employees behind counter not helping. 2- Get to room and tub has black stuff that looks like mold in it. Went back to front desk they send a cleaning lady who sprays cleaner, wipes and shows me the towel saying "Mold - no cleaning". How can you rent a room like this? My daughter was upset she had to step in the tub with that ( I have pictures). 3- Go to restaurant/bar with a cup and bartender runs up to me and greets me with "that cup has to go". Tells me I have to leave and get rid of the cup. I understand the rules but you can be a little more courteous to your guest asking them to dispose of the cup. Same bartender slammed ordered martini's down on bar upon serving spilling liquid everywhere and walks off no apology for a very high dollar martini spilling on counter. 4- Ordered nachos from restaurant/bar and it took an hour and a half to receive. Chips and meat/cheese. Service was terrible and the staff that was working was rude and seemed put out that parents wanted water for their kids. 5- Cleaning lady did not show up on Sunday to clean and replenish towels. Went to desk and was told they would bring us towels. After 30 min went to call front desk to find out phone doesn't work in room. Had to use cell phone to find hotel number and ask for front desk! 6- Window to view out of room was so dirty and damaged that you couldn't even see out of it ( I have pictures) 7- Hotel has 4 elevators and only 2 work! Lots of wait time to get to and from for a cheer competition! Area to push button for elevator looks dirty and tarnished.....gross... 8- At one point when I went to front desk Bell Boy was checking in hotel guest and asking for help from the 1 clerk that was working. Again Manager doing paper work behind counter not assisting with long line or helping bell boy:( 9- Cookies were put out in afternoon - went to get one but was cut off by front desk manager loading up on them I could go on and on about how bad this hotel is!!! …
Hotel has a nice, grand feel; rate was very reasonable; decent parking, nice bar, no quick solution for morning coffee or quick bite; no USB connection to power devices; room was clean but carpeting pretty stained; good temp controls; I like option to forego room cleaning each day (i.e. no door note to hang). Overall, a decent option but I did not try restaurant (because I heard it was painfully slow to service).
We had a quick 1 day stopover here, but were very pleased with our stay. The hotel was beautiful, rooms were very comfy with views of downtown, and great service. The restaurant had good food and amazing service too. Esp given we arrived on Christmas day and expected them to be short staffed, they did their best. There is a nice pool on the roof. Very nice place to stay in Dallas.
