The hotel is beautiful and has a fantastic breakfast waiter named Edgar. We did have one odd experience, traveling as one white person and one brown person. The hotel does not have microwaves in the rooms. Brown person went downstairs to ask if they could heat something in the kitchen. They said they could not. Two days later, white person wished to heat something, and brown person said white person should go downstairs and ask, just in case. This time, a third employee took the dish to the kitchen and heated it graciously, even as all told, it's probably not the image the hotel wishes to present.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, no problems for a basic hotel and the location is in the best part of Dallas. The issue was I dropped my phone and the only other person around was the night security. I asked him if he had seen my phone and he helped me search the whole hotel. I knew he had the phone as no one else had been in the lobby. Then I called the police and when they arrived the phone magically turned up..... beyond disappointed to be put in a situation like this.
I stayed at the Stoneleigh for 3 nights for business. It was an excellent location (walked to Uchi for dinner, short walk to Katy Trail, etc.). It was incredibly clean, the outdoor patio with fire place was fantastic, I was allowed to self park, and my room was impeccable. A special thanks to Ben at the front desk on Wednesday morning. He went out of his way to help me with printing documents from the computer, and was truly just a delightful person that is great at his job. Even behind his mask, you could tell he was smiling. We need more Ben’s in this world. I’ll definitely be back at the Stoneleigh (my only negative is that I couldn’t find a dessert on their currently limited menu...although that might be a positive for my waistline). Thank you for making my business trip a lovely experience.…
Picked this hotel due to its location and being what should be a high end hotel. Paying full price and being a long term platinum member we were kindly given a room on a low floor right next to the elevator so basically the worst room they could provide. To our surprise the room no longer has a refrigerator which we need for medication so we were forced into another room with a refrigerator and one bed with an old stained pull out bed when we needed 2 real beds for our family of 4. We discovered that the bed needed pillows and blankets and when requesting some they brought us 1 pillow and one decorative partial cover, I had to call bacak and they brought more of the same and no blankets. To make matters worse the heating stopped working and blew cold air I woke up to the thermostat being 66 degrees and it was set at 72. In the morning they said they would fix it and here I am again waking up the next morning to the same issue frozen. Additionally the rooms are not up to par we have a leaking faucet in the shower and the tub and tile looked tired with chips and signs of mold. Furniture looks banged up and really not what one would expect from a Le Meridien.…
Decided to stay at Le Méridien for the weekend, and it was a great! Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Torian at the front desk, who thoroughly went over everything before sending me off to my room! The hotel is an awesome old building, I loved the elevators, the room was decent - could be a little cleaner - the bathroom was awesome! Due to this covid ‘issue’, the hotel had to shut down several of their inviting amenities, which makes sense - but still sad to see. Location is pretty good too!
