Given a past good experience at the Sheraton, when a friend of mine asked if we could book a downtown hotel to be right in the city I chose the Sheraton given it’s good price for the area and the great views, as well as my previous experience on property. Upon arrival we were very positively greeted to the hotel and check in went fast, since I like being on the highest floor possible I asked to be in the tallest (center) tower on the highest floor, the member of staff went above and beyond and was able to move me up from 29 to 36, or the top floor, I wish I got his name, as the service provided was amazing. The room itself was spotless with no dirt to be found, and the beds were very nice, I will say the windows on floor 36 do need a washing, but the view was amazing. I had requested extra pillows and towels, and since I had my room floor changed at check in, I was about to go down to request those, but as I got to the door a member of staff had already come up to deliver the extra pillows and towels to the room, which I was impressed by the level of care they had to ensuring those requests would be fulfilled. The only complaint I really had was in the bathroom. Personally I don’t like the bulk dispensers in the shower, I don’t feel uncomfortable as there is always the chance someone could tamper with them, and I always prefer the little bottles, despite this though, the staff went above all expectations to deliver and ensure a great stay. Upon asking housekeeping, the hotel supplied me with some smaller travel size bottles so I didn’t have to worry about the big bottles, which was greatly appreciated. I also forgot my toothpaste at home, I asked the hotel if they had any and within 15 minutes housekeeping was at the door with some toothpaste, mouth wash, and a toothbrush too. As for the other parts of the property, the elevators were pretty fast and there was never a wait for them over 30 seconds. The staff at Open market were also friendly and fast. The location of this property couldn’t be better too, being less than a block from the DART Pearl/Arts district station and being pretty close to nearby buildings. We did not get breakfast this stay, but from past experience the buffet was pretty good for a hotel breakfast though. My favorite part about this hotel, by far, though was the pool deck, I loved getting photos of the downtown skyline and being right on the city, the fitness center here is also by far the biggest I’ve ever seen in a hotel of this size. From a friend I have who has attended conventions here apparently they also have quite the venue here. For the location I also found the price to be great, despite being in a prime area, the rates here are pretty reasonable. Overall though, given my experience, I totally recommend this hotel, and Sheraton is high on my list of considerations for next time I want a staycation in the city.…
I had such experience checking into the Sheraton. Freya was so kind and attentive. She was so sweet and helpful not to mention our shared loved for Hello kitty! All staff was helpful and nice. The food was also good. The inside was nicely kept and clean.
The pros-good location in the vibrant part of downtown; courteous staff willing to help; nice restaurants with good vibes and ambiance but very pricey; comfortable conference center accessible through a sky bridge. The cons-dated rooms with old furniture; A/C/H was super cold or superhot-never able to set it right; no ADA walk-in shower available. I was given a room with a tiny tub with a couple of handlebars and a super-low seat; the tub was super slippery, requested a shower mat but nothing was available. Old closet with dirty mirrors. When I opened the closet, the iron, ironing table, and all the cloth hangers were piled on the floor. The hotel is very busy with a lot of traffic at all hours with people in the hallways, and doors being slammed shut until very late at night, past 1:30 am. A very nice convention center, but bring a sweater or light jacket; it was freezing the whole time. Great location, nice staff, but this hotel needs some upgrades and more attentive housekeeping…
The Sheraton in Dallas Texas is an amazing place to stay. The rooms are big and clean. There are lots of staff to assist you and they are cheerful and receptive in any requests or questions. The most amazing thing about the Sheraton Hotel is a porter named Tree. He greeted us before we even got out of the car. Tree saw that I had garbage in my hand and offered to take it for me. His smile, energy, and willingness to help had all of us smiling. He is made out of joy. He was quick in loading up our stuff while being careful that everything was in a good position so it would not fall off. When we were walking outside one day, he greeted us again with the same positive energy and answered the questions we asked of him. Upon leaving, you can imagine the delight we had when we saw it was Tree at our door to collect our luggage. By now he had become our friend. I may never see Tree again, but he will always stay in my mind of how well he treated us at our stay at the Sheraton Hotel.…
Lots of issues: Issues with service staff - an older male housekeeping staff member stalked my teen girls in the gym and made them uncomfortable with his gawking while they worked out. Amenities extremely lacking: Spacious executive suite with zero storage Tiny fridge No bathroom space for getting ready, makeup, etc Poor lighting 3 small dresser drawers for unpacking for 4 people for a week - so basically live out of your suitcase. Poor quality bedding - photo attached No bedding was provided for the sofa bed. When we called they brought up a dirty comforter and 3 flat sheets — DIY for the guests! Suite was not cleaned for the whole week. Had to ask for towels and wash clothes and for trash service. Restaurants on premises - food adequate, extremely limited menu and very over priced. Location not super convenient.…
The stay at the hotel has been truly wonderful! The entire staff had been incredibly attentive and highly dialed in on service. From the moment I arrived, the valet team greeted me and helped me inside to the bell team who helped me to the front desk and then up to my room. The front desk staff were all smiles and the housekeeping team were some of the friendliest people I've ever met. The GM must be highly engaged with the team because the service levels are through the roof!
We did not have water and were not offered any options. We had to call and request bottles of water. AC was pitiful. It was 78 upon arrival in our room and took until 4 am to get it down to 69. Awful. It looks nice on the outside but not good bones. Very cheap and literally 0 Service
The absolute best part of my stay was the experience my group had with Mr. Charles Kearse. He was the epitome of what I teach my students of what customer service should be. I was very happy that they had a chance to witness excellent customer service in action. Charles went out of his way to walk us to other food options in the attached hotel while he was on break, took care of our luggage while we waited for our rooms to become ready and was the first to be sure that all those who needed to use specific elevators to get to rooms (while elevators were down for service) got to the service elevator. He continually had a smile on his face and greeted every person when they were coming in or passing through. How he is still a bellman I will never know. His skills are the reason I am giving my rating as otherwise it would be average. Those that provided water and candy at the service elevator 'for our trouble' were excellent as well. My only complaint would be that the pool and pool area are too small for during conferences and there are not near enough chairs. The fitness center is lovely but the pool area needs help. We were unable to utilize the restaurants in the hotel due to our budget so I cannot speak to that. The rooms were clean and I appreciate the in-room amenities although the water being free doesn't match the paperwork that says you must be a reward member. If you were to stay for an adult only meeting/conference for a minimum amount of time, this hotel would be adequate.…
I Needed A Little Relaxing "Gettaway" Without Having To Drive For Or Fly. "Mr. Charles Kearse" Was Not Only Personable, Proffesional, But Very Helpful. His Nearby Recommendation's For Food& Entertainment Was A Hit. Thank You!
The Service at the Sheraton was AMAZING! Drake is a Valet and helped us find safe and close places in to eat during our stay. He made sure to grab the door for us and others around us. Charles made sure our bags remained safe All of the employees here are very helpful and kind! Always helping with a smile on their faces !! Make sure to stay at the Sheraton Hotel!
