Travelers' Choice
The Joule Hotel, named for the international unit of energy, is the stunning product of a revitalized 1920's neo-gothic landmark Dallas building, three restored buildings of 1930's vintage, and several new structures. A visual masterpiece from award-winning designer Adam D. Tihany, the hotel creates a tasteful union of old world quality and contemporary design, while densely populated throughout by museum quality artwork from names including Tony Cragg, Tony Tasset, Andy Warhol and Richard Phillips. In addition to new guest rooms, spectacular multi-story penthouses and bespoke lobby experience, the property includes an impressive glass-fronted rooftop cantilevered pool, subterranean spa, rooftop terrace with glass pavilion, beautiful event spaces, first-class dining, vibrant cocktail destinations and one-of-a-kind shopping experiences. The Joule is an artfully delivered experience set in the heart of downtown and within walking distance of the Dallas Arts District.

My husband and I visit The Joule 1-2 times a year and always enjoy it, but this time especially the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay. I realized when we checked in I had made a mistake in booking the room we wanted, and they switched me to my preferred room at no charge for the upgrade. Again, this was completely my own mistake! They continued to check in with us during the weekend, making sure we had a ride in the courtesy car and making sure our room cleaning was scheduled for when we would be out. (They are cleaning the room on request due to Covid). We ordered room service from CBD Provisions one night, and it was the best room service meal I have ever had. It was great - not just for room service - but by any standard. We really appreciated the extra touches, especially in a year when travel is so much more stressful.

Like many other COVID couples, we had to reduce the size of our wedding and find another venue, and I have to say the Joule was the best choice we could have made. The event was incredible much to the credit of Jesse Gonzalez, the staff took amazing care of us with special shout outs to Paul and Ariel. We will celebrate our anniversary here every year because of the experience we had, wish I could give more than 5 stars.

From before we even arrived Daniel with the concierge worked with me to plan a special suprise for our anniversary. He even made accommodations so that we had a super early check in 9AM! Above and beyond, even scored an amazing view of mainstreet. Tre was very sociable and was able to take us and pick us up from one of our destinations. Christian with the front desk was super kind and and dedicated by helping us take a perfect photo and making sure we liked it. He too got us to a destination on time and he was very professional. Savannah we only ran into for a moment, but the left the surprise of champagne and chocolates in the room with a trail of roses. She is so sweet! And lastly Autumn, she helped us at check out, she was very kind and understanding. Thank you to the team at the joule and anyone I didn't mention that made our brief stay a dream. We will definitely be back again and again. Specs: the beds are comfortable and after a long day traveling, AMAZING. The robes are like big fluffy blankets The bathtub is basically a jacuzzi and the rain showers are wonderful. The food is amazing and you have many options without going far. The hotel itself is stunning inside and out and it's like stepping into another world. I would recommend to anyone looking to feel like a million bucks.

Staff nice but mostly uninformed. And no sense of urgency. Ask the same question twice and get 2 different answers. Valet had one person on a Saturday morning. Great breakfast bar on Saturday, nothing on Sunday. Told "nothing today due to unexpected maintenance issues because coffee shop is closed". And yet it was closed Saturday, too. Everything closed even though website provided different information. Rooms ok. No coffee machine. No free water. Does have a convenient location going for it. Lots of good restaurants close by. Would not stay here again. Would not recommend and I'm a world 5 star traveler.

From working with Megan Milkavich for months on rooms, the check in process that involved surprise upgrades, the bell men who had to help us every day- we were overwhelmed with their customer service! Smiles through their masks, answering all our questions, letting us use a ballroom at the last minute for our rehearsal, SUPER clean rooms with wonderful amenities- our weekend was fantastic! The Staff were beyond amazing. We had many ups and downs planning this wedding twice but The Joule staff were amazing! Thank you!
