After having stayed here close to 30 times on multiple occasions, we were extremely disappointed with our stay. The front desk staff had no idea that we had ever stayed there before. We were shocked at check-in to be informed that no food of any kind was available anywhere in the hotel. The excuse was COVID-19. It was particularly galling since I spoke personally to the hotel to make reservations, and nobody thought to mention it to me. Small amenities like bottles of water in the room were no longer offered. Service from the bellman was surly. The hotel has been sold to some new group that calls itself the Graduate Group, and it is apparently courting students who are looking for long term housing during the pandemic. In short, we will never return to the Lumen.

Hotel looks great from the photos but a half hearted update on what appears to be an old hotel. The bed and bathroom are just average. Just a Comfort inn with midcentury modern furniture and LED lighting. No parking except for valet??? If you don't valet you must fight the students of SMU for street parking....makes no sense especially when the downstairs parking lot was 95% empty. Much better hotels available in Dallas.

If you have ever stayed here before, don't expect it to be like any other time. The dining is closed, no room service, no housekeeping service. You are given 1 towel, one hand towel and 1 wash cloth for a 4 night stay, if you want anything more (like a clean towel) you have to go ask the front desk. There is no more wine hour or even coffee in the morning. The place is like a frat house with raging parties,m loud screaming kids, blasting music etc. What class the hotel had at one time is GONE, do yourself a favor and find a motel 6! Because they are still charging the high price rooms with no service.

The people were nice but the service was subpar. Room was unclean, even during COVID. The view was terrible even after they gave us the wrong room and switched us. I let the front desk know about my concerns and they did nothing.

Overall the hotel stay was good. There were a few things that could have been improved, but for the most part good. The staff was great. The room as a whole was nice but needed more character. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner and the hotel it self needs to be more visual, easily accessible.
