Awesome place to stay....making my rounds in the oil patch...price of oil is down, price of rooms are down..but service and quality of stay are not...still impressed by this little motel. This is my second time here and actually looked forward to stay there. Was not disappointed.
Ask for the big rooms at the back with real fridges an a stovetop.

I'm always a bit nervous visiting hotels in the middle of nowhere when I'm working in the field, but the Hotel Texas was honestly a diamond in the rough! VERY clean room, super comfortable bed and nice soaps/shampoos etc made this room great to come back to every evening. The staff were nice and everything was well kept. Next time I'm visiting wells in the area, I'll be staying here for sure!

My stay was on 11/2/24 - 11/3/24 and it was horrible at Hotel Texas. I have reported this business to all government agencies within the state of Texas and Federal. We experienced price gouging, and our room has life threatening hazards. The daytime manager on Sunday 11/3 at checkout was harassing us to leave at 10AM due to the Fall time change. The night manager the night before actually advised us 11:30AM is our check out. This business false advertised free pool and breakfast accommodations. We were told by the nighttime manager that pool is available at Noon, but our checkout was 11:30 AM. The morning of 11/3/24, we called the front desk several hours before checking out asking what time the complimentary breakfast starts. He yelled once again and said, "no free breakfast here" and hung up abruptly. At 10 AM he sent a Hispanic housekeeping lady over to get us out. The housekeeper wanted to cry and said how mean and evil he was to her and the guests. My family told the housekeeper to quit and work across the street at the Holiday Inn which we will stay the next time we visit Cuero, which is often. My room# 141 has wires exposed and mold on the ceilings. The rooms are dark with only one desk lamp. The exposed wires in the ceilings were either from a missing smoke detector or a ceiling light. We were supposed to be charged $55 plus tax. We were charged $84.75, and the extra cost was service fees is what the front desk male advised. I will get a refund by law enforcement. The Hotel knows my phone number because that is all they wanted to book the room. No signed contracts or receipt given at check in. There are many hotels nearby so please DO NOT STAY here.

First room the smell was so bad we could not take it. The door was broken and would not lock so we asked for another room. The next room smelled worse than the first but we had an event we paid a lot of money for to attend and just had to stay. We went to Walmart and bought 4 air fresheners in hopes it would help. It made it so that we could at least sleep there. We got in very late that night and was so exhausted that we fell asleep. We woke early and left.
This motel is dirty and smells horrible.
I would not recommend it to anyone.

We stayed here for a wedding 2 weeks ago. The prices in this area are very high because of the Eagle Ford Shale but this is a new business. When we got there, there was an error in our reservation ,in they didnt have it but we lucked out and got a room. Always bring your print out with you.
The rooms are all new and very nice. Clean, new beds, tvs everything. They even have Bath and Body Works soap and shampoos, They do have a full breakfast, eggs, bacon, waffles and everything else and if your stay brings you there on a Sunday morning its about all that open in town. They even have a cooler in the lobby that offers 1 free beer per guest.
I would definitely stay here again if I neede to.

When my usual place to stay in Cuero was overbooked, I luckily discovered this place . I found the facility far superior to my expectations. Check in experience and lobby were just fine......Wi-fi worked well.....breakfast was o.k.....place was very busy. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

Staff was really nice. Hotel room was very nice. Pet friendly. Breakfast in morning, coffee maker in room, free WiFi. Nice exterior. We had been searching for a decent place that would allow our dog. This hotel exceeded our expectations. I will mark this place for return trips.

I was very surprised by the quality of the rooms. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The customer service reps at the front desk were very friendly and the kids all enjoyed the pool. I would recommend this hotel for anybody looking for a great place to stay at a great price.
