Detailed Reviews
I see a lot of movement with the staff . Put really not a lot of work . The public showers are hot no ac . The store don’t usually open till like 9 am and close early during the week. Golf carts are always around the park with staff . I just don’t see them do much work. The pool had too much bleach. It was bad . They need a pool guy that know what’s going on . No water front camp grounds that I could tell . It needs work and I hope the new owners get it done . The first cabin that we rented needs a new bed cover it was nasty and dirt the bunks had not even been made the sheet were there but the bed was not made. Y’all need some better workers

The reviews do not give this place justice. This is a great family camping spot. The place is old, but very well maintained. There was one cabin of oil field workers next to us, but they helped me and my sister set up her travel trailer and were the first ones to bed. The cabins were nice and very reasonable. I stayed in one of the smallest units which had a small fridge, microwave and no stove. Some had full fridges and stove. Mine had 2 bunk beds and a double bed. All extremely clean and a great price, I only paid $75 per night. You bring your own towels and soap. Some had one bedrooms and my cousins had one of the newer units in the back, which was $130. The the pool was extremely clean and well kept and the little ones loved the splash pad, which seemed brand new. My sister and her family and her grandchildren stayed here a week at July 4th and had a great family vacation. They have a July 4th boat parade. Boat slips can be rented for fisherman. Sites for RV's are pretty close and not quite as level as some would have liked. We had one travel trailer and one fifth wheel that we were able to locate close to the cabins so we were all together. There is a hall you can rent, but we did not see the inside. Nothing plush about this place, but if you want a nice family camping trip or vacation at a great value, this is the place.

Stayed for one night with friends going to a RV gathering in LA. The place is nice and peaceful, away from town (was worried the GPS didn't know where she was going) about 10 miles. The lake view is awesome, the place is perfect for fishermen. Not sure we would stay again but it was fine for one night.

They call this a resort. That could apply very loosely. Lets go over the good points. It is on a lake with prized bass. It has a marina (private for members only). It is the better of all the other RV parks in the area. Except Radcliff Lake Which is a US Forest Service Campground. Yes this is an RV park.. It also has cabins. It also has Cable TV which is decent. It has Washer and Dryers. It has Showers. It has WIFI.
Now for the bad points. It has WIFI extremely slow WIFI. Perhaps the modem is dial up. Cell phone signal is very spotty. Water pressure was very low. I know I don't want it to high and blow out some water line or damage the camper. I have pressure reducers for that. But that low is a problem too. The dryers take a long time to dry. Why Because I am familiar With LP heaters. They are what you call concentric heaters which is on most RVs. It puts moisture back in the air. Not to good for drying.
One thing is the place is pretty run down. Does not look like a lot of improvements have been made in a very long time. But as previously mentioned the other RV parks were not better. The customer service was mediocre at best. The owners I guess they were the owners were an older couple that were friendly I guess. Other than chit chat they had very little if any information about the area. The other thing is the RV Park office hours were 10-12 and 3-5PM. We arrive on a Sunday during what we would consider normal hours to us. The other thing is we had to cut our trip short. We were told there was no refunds. I looked on the website and anywhere I could. There is nothing about no refund. The only thing it said or posted was •General refund policy: non-refundable deposit with the option of a rain check. Since I do believe I did pay a "deposit" that I could understand. But not to refund 1 or 2 days out of 5 days I'm not to happy about that.
We should look at what Good Sams rated this place before making a reservation. It was rated 6 out of 10 on that site.
Will I go back? Probably not. Advice. Make sure you reserve one day at a time if you are not sure how long you will be staying. Be ready to accept what you get

The "resort" is located right on the lake and has a lovely view. We stayed in a small cabin with a set of bunk beds, a double bed, a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator and stove, and a bathroom. The accommodations were old and tired but the cabin itself was clean and bug free, the a/c was noisy but cold, and the water was hot (when needed.) The bedding was clean but had a few rust stains and were definitely old. Towels are not supplied. The microwave and coffee pot worked fine - we didn't use the stove. I believe there were two mugs, a few plates, and some basic cooking utensils. There is a very worn miniature golf course available (which needs updating and weeding) for a small price. The onsite store sells some items and I believe renting paddle boats is possible. The pool is small but appeared to be clean - we didn't swim. I imagine the newer cabins (for a higher price) would be much nicer. However, this is not a "resort" in any sense of that word. Wifi and phone reception is practically non-existent but the cabin did have a small tv with cable.

This past weekend my husband and I took our travel trailer here to join friends staying in their motor home. The four of us enjoyed our 3 days very much. The trees provided a lovely setting, and welcome protection against the sun. There is only one paved road into the camping area, and no grass, but the sites seemed to be level. (I would choose a level site over a paved site.) We carry a big piece of outdoor carpet to use around the door to our trailer, so sand and dirt do not bother us. The pool and a great children's water & splash area are enclosed with very nice wrought iron fences, and the pool area enclosure was nicely landscaped with beautiful plants, with new, nice umbrellas and recliners for sun and shade. There is a large covered group picnic area that would be great for a large group. The restroom near the pool and picnic area was clean and very adequate with a concrete floor (no a.c.). The park was very quiet, peaceful, and clean. The lake was beautiful and calm, just great for our kayaks. The staff member Kelly was very friendly and helpful. It was obvious she took pride in the place. (She did a great job weeding around the pool area while we talked.) There were not many people staying at the park, but two of our neighbors were pipeline people who had been there for a long time and one of them helped us with our awning. We did not use the cabins, the laundry, or the showers, so I cannot comment on those facilities. I did not read the Tripadvisor reviews before making a reservation, or we likely would have missed out on a great weekend at a beautiful location.

Came hear because it was convenient to a music festival and New Year Eve party we attend in the Crockett Area. Was here a few years back and was not impressed. Wasn’t terrible just very mediocre. Boy what a turn around. Very nice place to stay. Cottages, rooms in Duplexes Camping and RVing. Very reasonable pricing. So much I talked to one of the owners and was so pleased I’m promoting it to our music club for their music retreat / festival. Did I tell you how great the staff was? They were. Great place to stay.

Very peaceful and beautiful lake, clean pool area. Cabins are out dated no towels or soap. The store closes at 5 and doesn't open till 9 am. The paddle boats are 25$ an hour for 4 people ! Yes 25$! The mini golf is 2$ per person and it's a horrible course the holes are full of weeds and have grass all through the course, they advertise volleyball but don't tell u that you have to rent the ball for 2$ an hour! The only good thing going is the lake . Won't be going back .

I have never seen a cleaner will kept campground. The bathrooms were super clean with fresh paint. I was at a campsite while family members were in cabins. All the cabins were clean and in good repair. Two had flat panel TV, one had old pitcher tube TV. The playground was a bit with the kids. It has a newer climbing type structure but the merry go round was the biggest hit. There is a noticable lack of fire rings. Even some rock rings would be appreciated. Campsites are right on top of each other. If the place had been full it would have been too crowded. Boating and fishing are the prime activities here. Boat ramp, covered boat dock and lighted fishing dock. There are no nearby trails or wildlife viewing areas.
