The hotel is pretty new so everything was ok! This was my first trip after COVID so I missed a lot the service! Housekeeping for example is done every 3 days, which I did not know and was not clear during the reservation. They bring you stuff if you need. There is nice outdoor things to do, but no much indoor. Basically just an arcade room which was not working majority of the time. Restaurant are normal, nothing different. We went to stay for six night but the hotel had several electricity issues and on the fourth night there was no estimated time to get power back so we decided to leave. Because of power we also lost one morning of pool time.

We took our 10 year old daughter to Margaritaville Lake Resort for a last minute weekend getaway trip! We had such a fun time that she didn’t want to leave and is already asking when can we go back! The staff was all friendly and helpful. We loved the constant activities! The room was clean and the beds super comfy. The food was amazing and the drinks just perfect! Highly recommend!

I was with a group of 5 ladies and we got a loft cottage on the lake. We were in cottage 12. As other reviewers mentioned the loft was about 4 ft tall from floor to ceiling so I had to crouch down to walk around. Unless you plan to have kids staying in loft, it’s not the best for adults. Very difficult to bring luggage up to loft so we didn’t bother. Housekeeping did the bare minimum. Had issues with bug carcasses smashed on the walls and furniture. This should have been cleaned up by house keeping before we checked in! It was a huge turn off. We spend a good 30 -45 mins trying to clean off bugs inside the cottage & on the patio chairs outside of our cottage. A major part of our girls trip was to relax at the spa. On the phone, spa personnel explained the amenities we could use, sauna and hot tub and tranquility lounge. When we arrived in person, the facility was so outdated. Especially the sauna….it looked like a scene from a mental hospital horror movie. The outdoor hot tub was basic, just a circular hole in the ground enclosed by concrete walls. The only ambiance out there was a slew of dead lake bugs scattered across the ground and a larger pile of them in one corner of the area. And it was obvious the throws in the tranquility lounge were never washed as they smelled of must and body odor. We gagged as we got whiffs of the odors when we unfolded the throws to put on. Overall, I would not recommend going here if you want to have a decent spa experience. The pool area was nice, but bar service was slow (not waitstaff had to go to the bar yourself) and can’t speak to the kids pool area or lazy river as that was closed the entire weekend we were there (and there was no mention or head up re: the closinh…so if I was going there with kids nobody would have told us until she showed up)

We were there July 11-15. The power went out several times and MOnday night no A/C all night. The were out of everything and several times they could not supply food. I have stayed at other Margaritaville Resort and this resort is not in the same world. The food is not the same. I can only compare it to eating at Chili's and getting a Perry Steakhouse bill. They have serious power grid problem and to top it off the last day we were there tragedy struck and a man lost his life five feet away from my two children. I rented a cabana and it was not as described. There are only 2 and they are by the adult pool. There was no dedicated waitstaff as promised and no fridge or working the fan. The are understaffed and I was told there was only 1 manager on site and he only worked until 6. I am exteremly disappointed with not only the facility but also the lack of care by staff. I was actually told by a staff member that "I was lucky they were even open and I should be happy"

Trust me…don’t waste your money. - no cleaning room service - They do not answer guest service phones or when you call down - if you do get a hold of them they never come. - Nothing is replaced during our whole stay (towels, toilet paper, coffee… nothing!) The place is beautiful, but for the price you pay $400 or more a night the customer service is horrible, and EVERYTHING is way overpriced. They do not come and clean your room during your stay, or bring you clean towels, take out trash - like other hotels do. You have to call down and request all of that. Problem was, they never answered the guest service phone so we had to go all the way down to the main lobby and request for the basic essentials every time. While we were here the electricity went out for one night and part of the next day. The resort was shut down so we had to leave for the day. While I understand things happen, they were only wanting to comp us $100 for the inconvenience of no electricity and everything being shut down (when you pay 400 for one night sometimes more - really?) Ridiculous - they should have at least comped us one night that we did not have electricity and could not access anything on the resort. The food is ok but extremely over priced. It honestly makes me sad for families that come here for their summer vacation with few kids - they really don’t have any places for kids to eat unless you want to spend a fortune. For as much money as you pay here you could have easily booked a cruise for the whole family. They also have fees they don’t tell you about upfront. The communication is horrible here. I understand hotels put incidental fees but when we checked in they let us know they were placing a $500….. yes $500 holding fee! That is something you should tell people ahead of time so families can prepare! That is a lot of money added on to the nights we already paid. Then, I’ve read on other reviews that this fee was $140-200? But mine was 500… doesn’t make sense. I honestly expected better customer service and hospitality with as much money as we spent there. Trust me when I say for the money you will pay here… you could book a beautiful Air BNB on the lake or even a destination cruise. It’s truly insane! Don’t waste your money. Not Impressed. I hope they step it up for the prices they charge or they will not make it much longer.
