This review is for Margaritaville Conroe, you can't leave reviews on their page or they will have "zero" stars. Let's start, I reserved a cottage with a loft for 6 people, they said that 6 people fit comfortably in the cottage, let me tell you that is not comfortable, the loft has 2 twin beds, not double beds that is described on the website, then the loft is only 2.5 ft tall, very short, no one tells you this. They charge you extra for every single person in the room, 1 restroom, 4 towels, 1 toilet paper, 1 coffee pod, they don't prepare the room for the amount of people that they charged you for, if you wanted to use the sofa bed, you need to make it by your own, they won't make the bed for you. Then the AC/heater was not working properly, we had the technician coming to fix it 4 times in one night, they decided to move us to another cottage, we moved, the heater was fine and the begging, then stop working at 2 am, of course we were freezing, someone decided to fix it at 8 am. They told us that because all the problems, we can leave at 3 pm instead of a 12 pm, I said OK, then what.... They charged to my credit card an extra $100, when I called and ask why, they said extra time.... I said wait, and explained all all-over. Besides charging you a $465 plus taxes for the cottage, they charge $45 for resort fee WTF, extra, no one again tell you about this extra fee. I'm very upset about all the experience and for the price paid I was expecting and excellent service and the cottage to be ready for us!…
Had an amazing time and experience. Activities were available the entire weekend. Excellent customer service at hotel, Spa and golf course. Will return in a few months to celebrate our 7th year anniversary ❤
Upon entering the bathroom in room in 1803, there was a used wash cloth and opened soap on the counter top and a Kit kat candy bar on the floor behind the door in the livingroom area. When we opened the pullout sofabed, there were several stains on the mattress that appeared to be blood. That is totally unacceptable! I went to the front desk to inform the customer service representative and showed her the attached photo. She offered to move us to another room. I told her we were already settled in the room. I asked if she could have someone replace the mattress with one from an unoccupied room; she apologized and made the replacement happen. I told her it wasn't her fault. All the issues I had were housekeeping related. The lack of attention to detail makes me question the overall sanitation, especially with Covid being at an all time high in Montgomery County. I want to make you aware of our experience before I write a review. Respectfully, …
We've never heard of this place but Travelzoo deal popped up and piqued our interest - we wanted something that's on the water (checked), with some privacy (stand-alone cottage - checked), be socially distant (stand-along cottage - checked), and be able to entertain our kids (checked). Not sure if we would take the plunge if we had to pay full price for the cottages (a little over our price budget at full price), but with Travelzoo deal they seemed to be a no brainer, so we did it! The cottages are in pretty good shape - we assumed they are fairly new. Cute little cottages with everything we needed. Our kids got a kick out of the fish tail faucet fixtures in the sink, and all the decor was great. We enjoyed all the amenities - although we didn't fully use the water park much since the high temperature while we were there were in the 60s. We did make one quick lap in the lazy river - the skinniest lazy river ever, but it was still fun for the kids! We swam in the heated pool a couple of times and it was a blast! We played putt putt golf a couple of times and also played pickeball. No complaints for any of the amenities! My only complaints were the minor details in the bathroom: 1) there was absolutely no towel hanger - where are we supposed to hang the towels after shower? Weird. 2) the way the shower was set up, you can really make a big mess if your elbow or leg is bent just right and make a 'water bridge' to outside the shower and really get water everywhere. I wish they extend the glass wall further so I didn't have to stress out over trying not to get the bathroom floor completely wet while showering. 3) Soap, Sample, and Conditioners were all in liquid form and in a locked down dispenser in the shower. Night 1, both sample and conditioners were completely empty (well, I could squeeze some out if I pumped like 30 times each). By Night 2, body wash was also empty. And obviously by the time we figured that out, we were naked and soaking wet, so it was difficult to call front desk to get us some. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place for families. I think I would give this place a 4.5 out of 5 rating, but since I can't give half points, unfortunately it is getting a 4/5.…
I have eaten at the new Landshark Bar and Grill at Margaritaville twice now. The employees are nice, and the view on the patio is great. I cannot say the same for the food. First, the alcoholic drinks are very expensive and are very small. They are very good, but way too small for the price. The food is so-so. We had the shrimp basket the first time. The food was hot, but nothing special at all. The coleslaw was a disappointment, too. Went back last week and had the Mushroom Swiss Burger. The hamburger meat had no flavor and seemed watery. I could not finish eating the burger. This was a $14.99 burger! What-A-Burger has them beat hands down for a lot less money. Then one assumes the $14.99 burger comes with fries. No, it comes with lattice chips, whatever that is. If you say you want fries, that is an addition $2.00. I am used to eating at Margaritavilles on the different islands when cruising. This one just doesn't measure up.…
