I was so pleased with the staff at Margaritaville Lake Conroe and Rebecca at the front went the extra mile to make everything was excellent. Even though it was storming the whole weekend we still enjoyed our vacation, Thank You Texas Bucket List.
Let me set the stage- we have 5 kids (1 is a baby) and 2 parents and trips are difficult. The resort is great and offers all of the amenities for a family or a couple getaway. I attended for a meeting- but we stayed a bit extra and had a blast. At arrival the valet offered assistance with luggage up to the room, front desk was well staffed and we booked 2 connecting rooms which provided 5 beds- fantastic- as everyone had a spot- even the baby and his pack/play had a room! The suites (all suite hotel) include spacious bathrooms, fridges, beautiful views and cute beachy decor. The restaurants all had great food and beverage and there was something for everyone- you could spend a week here and not get bored with boating and lake activities kids area pool and slides and adult pools, putt putt, tennis and golf, a nearby winery (Bernhard), Beer Brew tours, resort activities like staff vs. guests volleyball and waterslide competitions. Overall we slept great, our bellies were happy and we brought enough sunscreen and loved every part of our summer getaway to waste away in Margaritaville. The property also has a great meeting facility with over 50,000 s.f. of space and is IACC approved.…
Kayla made our reservations and our room was the BEST with so many special touches! We loved the place! It was very clean! Everyone was so very nice and if you needed something or had a question they had your back! Our Anniversary is in the off season so we pretty much had the pools and hot tubs to ourselves 🥰🥰 We will be back for sure!!!
This was our first getaway since pre-covid, so we started out a little speculative; however, this turned out to be the Best Birthday Experience! We had room 1209 with the balcony & lake-view; it was great watching the sunsets over the lake each evening, from our room! The room was clean, comfortable and adequate. The staff was always the most professional and courteous every where we went. Our Waiter over at the License to Chill Grill & Bar, must have told the Chef that it was my Birthday; the Chef surprised us after our dinner, by bringing out cake and ice cream with a birthday candle actually burning! They were awesome! We will most definitely be returning here again! Thanks Margaritaville, Conroe Tx. Well Done!!!
This year we spent a weekend at the Lake Conroe Margaritaville Resort for our birthday and anniversary trip. Since both of our birthdays and anniversary are within the same week, we like to go somewhere special to celebrate. This was our 4th time staying at a Margaritaville Resort. We were extremely excited when we found out Margaritaville opened a resort right here in Texas. It was a very easy drive from where we live in Austin to Lake Conroe. We drove up to the resort and immediately were in love with the beautiful grounds and the location right on Lake Conroe. The valet attendant, Conner, greeted us upon arrival and made us feel very welcome. We were excited to get our birthday/anniversary trip started, so we arrived before 9am knowing check-in wouldn’t be until later in the day. Even so, we made our way to the front desk and were greeted by Jin. He was a delight right from the get-go. We told him our names and he immediately impressed us by wishing us Happy Birthdays and Happy Anniversary. He got us all set up with some wrist bands so we could enjoy all the facilities throughout the day until our room was ready. He gave us a run down on all the amenities, bars and restaurants on the property. We were very excited about all the great options. Our first stop was the License to Chill Bar and Café to order up a Bloody Mary. Andres, who was bartending, immediately greeted us. He mixed us up a spectacular drink to start our morning. We knew immediately, this was going to be a great weekend. We made our way out to the pool. And what an incredible pool area they have. Plenty of lounge chairs with umbrellas covering for shade (very welcome since this was July in 100+ heat!). The main pool has an awesome swim up bar, called 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar. There’s an adults only pool right above the main pool. Although the main pool is family-friendly, even better is a family section on the other side of the resort. They have a lazy river, splash pads, water slides, mini-golf and just about everything you can think of to keep kids entertained. We found a great spot by the main pool and were ready to start our day of relaxing and pool fun. Jena saw us getting situated and stopped by to let us know that she would be taking care of us. You could really tell that Jena loved her job and was excited to have us there. Once the 5 O’Clock Somewhere swim up bar opened, we hopped into the pool to check it out. Chris and Jeric were bartending and ready to mix us up some spectacular drinks. They were both very friendly and wanted to know what brought us to Margaritaville. Throughout the rest of the day, they remembered our names every time we swam up which was a very nice touch. Just after lunch, we got a call from Corey at the front desk telling us that our room was ready. Corey had our keys ready and answered all our questions. We headed up to our room and WOW it was amazing! Great views of the whole resort and Lake Conroe, with an outdoor balcony perfect for sunset views. They had a bottle of wine and a few treats for us in honor of our Birthdays and Anniversary. They really went above and beyond making us feel special. We spent the rest of the day moving between the main pool and the adults-only pool, taking a break to check out the lazy river and do a little floating around before stopping for a drink at the Lone Palm Bar. Erik was bartending and once he found out it was our anniversary, he lined up a couple of shots for us in honor of our special day. We finished out the day having dinner at the License to Chill Bar and Café. The food and service were outstanding. From there we were off to the Boathouse Bar & Lounge for some great music, drinks and dancing. Definitely the perfect way to finish the day. The next day was practically a mirror of the day before. Plenty of relaxing, pool time, great food and drinks. We had lunch at the Landshark Bar and Grill where Samantha and Jeromy took great care of us and served great food and drinks to start our day. It was pool time for us the rest of the day. Pavle was our pool attendant making sure we had whatever we needed while we were lounging. If we weren’t in our lounge chairs, we were at the 5 O’Clock Somewhere swim up bar where Sreten, Joe, Marlo and Donell all knew exactly what we wanted and made sure we were taken care of. For dinner, we went back to the Landshark Bar and Grill and sat out by the water to watch the sunset. It was just spectacular watching it set over the lake. Siddharth took excellent care of us and recommended some great appetizers, entrees and drinks. After dinner, we walked around the resort and finished our day off with a drink at the License to Chill Bar. Kaycee was bartending and mixed us up some fabulous cocktails. The next morning, we went back to the License to Chill Bar and Café for breakfast. Bichitra was there with coffee and a smile ready to take our order. She had our breakfast there before we knew it and it was excellent. We weren’t disappointed in any of the meals we had, in fact everything was delicious and the menus all had a great variety of meals to choose from. Since we were checking out that day, we headed over to the Live Life Like a Song Margaritaville Store to pick up a few things. You can’t stay at Margaritaville without picking up a few souvenirs from the gift shop. Having been to many Margaritaville gift shops at their resorts and restaurants, we can say the one at Lake Conroe has one of the best selections of merchandise we’ve ever seen. Denise went out of her way to help us find some of the things we were looking for. We had to get a little more pool time in before we headed out. As soon as we sat down, Dev came over and took great care of us until we had to go. We had dropped off our luggage earlier with Alex. As soon as we were ready to go, he helped us load everything up and wished us safe travels. Overall, we had a 5-Star trip to Margaritaville Lake Conroe! It was without a doubt one of the best Margaritaville Resorts where we have stayed. Family-friendly, but with enough areas for adults to relax and unwind without children around, too. The food, drinks, amenities, rooms, bars and pools were all outstanding, but the service is what made it an over-the-top experience. Everyone made us feel extremely special and attended to while we were there. We will definitely be back to Margaritaville Lake Conroe, in fact we’re already planning our next visit for February!…
Had a great time just now at the Lake Conroe Margaritaville. Very personable people working there from the valet to the waiters. Would like to give a shout out to the front desk agent Kayla for making my birthday super special! I loved the personal touch she had in remembering that offhand comment I made :) Made me book another margaritaville stay for FL
This resort is located north of Houston. It is the perfect location for business retreats and company meetings, which was the reason for my stay. It is an older hotel, with some nice updates. The suite rooms are very spacious, with 2 TVs and a large bathroom. The rooms were clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable, but the pillow were not. The $45/day resort fee does not seem reasonable as there is just a small water area available. The food at this resort was HORRIBLE. The first night we ate at the Landshark. It has a lot of seafood and bar items. No pasta or pizza. it was decent, but not great. The remainder of our meals were catered. Breakfast was the only meal that was decent. The hors d'oeuvres were all served cold or lukewarm. The pastries and desserts were not replaced daily and were hard and moldy at the end of the week. I hope this is not the food they serve for weddings because it was not edible. I would stay here again, but I would eat ALL of my meals off the resort. …
Just stayed here for a 3 day company event. The room, pool area, overall amenities, conference facility and grounds were great. However, the food and restaurants were so bad that I would never return. If you stay here, plan to leave the property if you want a decent meal.
We hung out at the pool and CHRIS was absolutely AHHHMAZINGGGG!!!! He never let our glasses go empty and was so kind to bring me sunscreen for my terrible red face!! We used Resortpass.com to have a day pass and enjoy our day! From a Nederland girl to a Port Neches guy! Chris you truly made our day awesome! Counting down for the next visit!
Margaritaville in Conroe is very overrated and would not recommend. The best amenities like the water slides and the lazy river is only open on the weekend. All there is to do is lay in the pool and drink. The so-called basketball court is in a tennis court with one basketball goal. The arcade that they advertise has five games and that is it. I will never go back again.
