It was our first time visiting this lovely place. Friendly staff and fast service. We stayed in lodge 51 and it was a nice cozy lodge. We loved the Frio River water. It was an amazing experience. It was so relaxing to just sit in the water and not do a thing. We will for sure be going back another... More

Our cabin was clean, comfortable, and fairly updated. Plenty of space both inside and out. The river was a lot of fun. It was lively on their section of the river where we jumped off rocks, did the slide, and did mini floats down the river. Perfect for an active family. The staff at Neals is very kind, helpful, and... More

Excellent place! We had an awesome time. They have been around for a very long time. Cabins are spacious and very nice. Great part of the river as well. Friendly staff, and we loved the slide. A very beautiful and remote part of Texas. Would definitely recommend it to others and have plans to go back.

This is one of my favorite places to visit. The river was perfect, the scenery was outstanding and the owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming. They work hard so you don't have to! I would recommend NEAL's to anyone that enjoys the family setting and the great outdoors. This place is incredible we are pleased to have made... More

My family and I stayed in cabin 16. Now Neal's Lodges is actually separated by hwy 127. My mother in law stayed in an RV site across the hwy from us. Its not that far to walk and you don't have too much to fear about crossing the hwy. The fishing pond was right next to their RV site so... More

We have rented the same cabin every summer for almost twenty years. Best "swimmin' hole" in Texas! This is nothing fancy. We rent one of the older cabins (Built by the CCC) on the river side. Nightly hay rides with s'mores are great, restaurant has wonderful home cooked meals. The facility has been sold in the last few years to... More

I was a little concerned when reading the other reviews. First off, the people were friendly. We stayed in an RV site so cannot comment on the cabins. Neals has a lot of trees which made a vary nice stay. There were not other RV's around us which made things even nicer. It was fun watching kids and dads catch... More

The cabins on the south side of the highway are very nice and are much newer than those across the road. There is plenty of room between each cabin allowing for lots of of privacy. I stayed in Cabin #66, The Acacia, which had two bedrooms with 2 double beds each, two baths, a great room with fireplace, and an... More

Great River! Nice Scenery when floating the river. The water hole is in front of Neal's lodge with rocks for the kids to jump off of and a huge water slide. At night there's a outdoor dance hall that has live music and dance floor. Apparently this is the only place around for night life so all the locals flock... More

Good stuff 1st... The feel at Neal's Lodges is exactly what you would expect...nights under the big trees with a campfire, nature noises while you lay your head to rest in the tent, rocky-cliff views, sound of the river running 24/7. River access near the camp sites is perfect for children (even little folks) to put their feet in and... More
