This park is everything an RV camper would want, as long as you you want to be far away from any cities. We had a great time. The speedy Wi-Fi is great for the days that are too cool or you are just tired of swimming. Streaming a TV worked well and e-mails always got through. Hook your phone to the wi-fi and you can make and text any calls. (there is also a payphone at the laundry) Laundry with washers and dryers (clean and works well). Well staffed and maintained office. Food and souvenirs in the office. Restrooms were very clean with large showers. Office personnel is very helpful. This park allows you entrance to the Frio River. You are exactly across the river from Garner State park. You can swim; walk, bring water equipment to paddle the river. Garner State Park rents water equipment. Many sites have shade which helps your unit stay cool. You pay for your own electric use. We found a Walmart for grocers in Uvalde about 30 min. away. We stayed here for several months.

This place is on the Frio river on a bluff directly across from Garner State Park. You could cross the river to the park if you chose but it’s only a 5 minute ride over. There are two river access points to take you down to the river. Lots of rope swings to swing out and drop into the very cold water.

There are about a 100 spots in all with spots 1-20 having a river view but spots 20-40 are just across the road in front of the river spots. Lots of trees throughout the park and all spots were level. Even the spots in the back aren’t far from the river. Each spot had electric and cable hookups along with direct sewer hookup too.

The welcome center has EVERYTHING you need. In addition to supplies for enjoying the water they also have food, charcoal and BEER! If you’re in need of a part for your RV they have gave that too.

Very friendly and helpful staff too.

We have been here three times now and will be coming back! There is so much to do here and the scenery is amazing. Spots are mostly level and pretty well spaced out. the store/reception desk has anything and everything to include fire wood and ice. The customer service here is top notch and extremely welcoming. They go out of their way to make you feel like family. Even when we wanted to change dates for our stay, they were accommodating. They keep watch on every item within the park to include loud and out of hand guests. Very clean park and reasonable prices! Well done Parkview Riverside RV Park, this is an example of how parks should be maintained.

The owner was incredibly accommodating to our family during this trip. This is an RV park that puts people first, no doubt! We would absolutely recommend Parkview over any RV park in the area. The way they treated us and the care they showed us is why this is the only park we will ever come back to on the Frio.

This was such a refeshing change from most campgrounds! Ths staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We had a site overlooking the beautiful Frio River. They have a store and WiFi. I didn't have any phone reception, but the girl working there showed me how to call using WiFi. We also had cable. We wish we had discovered it earlier in our trip. We only got to stay one night. We had been staying at Garner State Park. The bathrooms at Riverview were large and immaculate. Not many snowbirds yet, but it is probably full when it's cold up North!

Excellent RV park right on the Frio River! Not too big and not too small - sites are mostly shaded with full hook ups. The convenience store on site has anything that you might have forgotten. The kids love riding bikes to get an ice cream in the afternoons. River is easy to access. Staff is friendly.

We have gone here for 5 years & it's nice. This year on our first evening 2 yeti coolers on chains were stolen from RV steps. When it was reported to staff they said they have a big problem with that, but they don't warn the guests about this ??? Wow.
They also have a large gate that they leave open 24 hrs a day.. If u have a specific security issue u need to warn your guests !!!

This is a beautiful location however the view is all you get! This is not a family freindly park. They are not freindly to their guest. We have gone there for ten years, three weeks a year and only because the location, the park staff was freindly the first few years. Once their business was built up I believe they no longer felt the need to be nice to their paying guest. My husband and myself have both been talked to as we were children by the staff. The owners charge you for a whole week if if you don't stay the entir]e week. We are excited about finding a new family vacation spot!

Response from Parkviewrv, Owner at Parkview Riverside RV Park
Responded Oct 11, 2014
I really do not know what these review refers to. We have thousands of visitors each summer and almost all rebook for the following tear before they leave; therefore, we stay fully booked from June until the middle of August. However, we do not permit loud music after quiet hours begin at 11:00 PM or drunken or obnoxious behavior that disturbs other campers. If we have customer complaints about a particular site or group, then yes, our security staff will warn the offenders and monitor them more closely. If the offending behavior continues, the offenders will be asked to leave the park, with a Sheriff's escort if necessary. Most of our reviews and feedback from our customers have expressed to us how much they appreciate the security and peacefulness of the park as well as the courtesy of our staff and professionalism of the security team. What a ripoff! They are extremely rude and the layout is that of a concentration camp. Definitely not family oriented and the revenue generating sardine logistics absolutely did not consider child safety at all. The engineering utilized for river access is an extreme danger to safety. It looks like it was designed with whatever junk and scrap concrete was laying around. There is some kind of sewer pump with plumbing exposed right in the middle of the park. Like the other review stated, they speak to you like kids. They charge extra for your children. As small and packed as it is, they should pay you to have guest, because it really aint all that. We almost left after first getting there, but of course $400 in diesel and non refundable reservations is the only reason we stayed. We got stuck with #49 site which has dumpsters at the entrance..another engineering FAIL! And according to the attendants only expert drivers should attempt to park rv's over 25ft in their concentration camp. Also like one reviewer said you are being watched constantly. I found it annoying and rude as we are very clean campers as well as peaceful folks. Dude on golf cart reminded me of a stalker cause everytime i looked over shoulder...THERE HE WAS STARING! This place may appeal to some, but we found it miserable and will NEVER go there again or suggest anyone make the mistake of going to Parkview Concentration Camp.
