Prairie St. is a delightful B&B. It is a charming and comfortable place to stay. The 3 ladies, who have restored this home, have done a wonderful job. It's a great place for family gatherings. Have stayed there several times and have really enjoyed the hospitality and food. Karen Cornell, Huntington Beach, CA

Wow, I had no idea what I was walking into. The few pictures I saw online did not do this place justice. The three owners (Charlotte, Ester & Paula) bought the house in 2010 and completely restored the 1850's home and filled it with antique furniture. It's beyond fabulous. Our mouth's dropped open as we entered the house and walked...

Just a quick 2 hours from Houston, makes this a fabulous weekend get away! Located in Columbus, Prairie Street Heritage House is perfectly appointed for relaxing and visiting. We made good use of the rocking chairs on the porch and enjoyed the fabulous landscaping that was in bloom! The house is so comfortable and charming, decorated beautifully with attention to...

I work for a small Austin law firm, and we recently had a two day/one night work retreat at Prairie Street Heritage House. The accommodations were lovely in every aspect. The house itself is beautifully decorated and fastidiously clean, and owners Charlotte, Esther, and Paula are gracious and welcoming hosts. We had three meals during our stay--lunch the first day...

We couldn't have been more pleased with this wonderful bed and breakfast !! Spotlessly clean, charming décor, comfortable beds, spacious rooms and convenient location. Each day we were greeted with snacks and drinks when we returned from our shopping trips and each morning we were served delicious breakfasts ! What more could one ask for !!

I stayed here for a weekend getaway and the owners are very hospitable, as is the town. A great way to slow down from the hustle and bustle of a big town, as well as see nearby attractions (i.e. Painted Churches Tour in Schulenburg, etc.). I highly recommend this place for overnight and extended stays, as well as their once-a...

The house is beautifully charming. We have stayed at several B&B's across Texas and Louisiana and this is by far the nicest! So thankful to stay here for a weekend. We will absolutely be back. Can't wait for breakfast this morning. If it's anything like delicious muffins and little key lime cupcake they left for us, I won't be disappointed

This was our first stay in a B and B in many years and we loved it. The house is wonderfully decorated with antiques and spotlessly clean. Paula, Charlotte, and Ester (the ladies who own this) do a great job of welcoming and attending to all needs. A delicious breakfast was provided each morning - juice, fruit, potatoes, cinnamon rolls,...

We enjoyed our stay at Prairie Street Heritiage House in Columbus, TX. The house is tastefully decorated in Victorian style( without fussiness) while providing the modern comforts of TV, WiFi, king size bed, and a light and airy bath. The backporch with comfortable wicker rocking chairs where breakfast was served was especially delightful!

My husband and I have stayed a few B&B in different TX cities and this has been the best so far! The house was lovely and the the owners were very welcoming. We stayed in the Rose room and it was very large, with nice towels and name brand shampoos and amenities. We arrived right before a tea was starting...
