This was my first stay at this hotel, as I was visiting a friend who recently moved to Cleburne. I stayed on the 4th floor in a King room that had a full-size sleeper sofa. The room was large, elegant-looking and had lots of floor space. A very vintage look while still functioning like a modern hotel. There were a few disappointments, however. The Roman shades in my room would not open. The pullies were completely detached from the shades and I had no way of propping the shades open. As a result, the room was very dark. While this is a plus for sleeping, it was not appealing in morning or later in the afternoon when I wanted a little bit of sunlight to seep into the room. But the room had plenty of lamps and was well-lit for reading, etc. Also, the modern low-flow showerhead was not very ample. I have experienced better showerheads with better water pressure in other hotels. Other than those 2 things, the room was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable and had very soft sheets! Probably the softest sheets I have every experienced in the hotel. The A/C worked very well also and kept me nice and cool at night. The continental breakfast was okay. It was mainly carbs except for some yogurt and boiled eggs. The configuration of the breakfast room was not very suitable for a larger crowd of people who were there the first morning that I came down. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If I can get a room where the shades work, I will definitely plan on staying here again when I visit my friend.

We are so pleased that you came to stay with us. I can assure you we are working with an interior designer to come up with a solution for the blinds that would be fitting with the décor of the hotel. We certainly would love to have you stay here again.

This is a beautifully restored hotel in Cleburne, Texas that has been a delight to stay in. Our King room was generously sized with a lovely en-suite bathroom, great air conditioning, internet and comfortable king size bed. The building itself, underwent a faithful modernisation & renovation before reopening in 2009. A delightful continental breakfast was included with our room and offered a great start to each day. The hotel staff are welcoming and super helpful. The building is wheel chair friendly and has plenty of car parking, with the rear lot undercover. There is a good selection of snacks, refreshments and toiletry items available to purchase near the front desk. There’s even a lovely pool available for guests to enjoy and a laundry. I highly recommend this hotel to people visiting Johnson County 👍

Stayed at this beautiful place for 4 nights while we were in Dallas. It was like stepping back in time. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was so spacious and clean. Breakfast was included in the dining room. There were muffins, bagels, toast, cereal, fruit, waffles, tea, coffee and juice. Plenty of car parking. We absolutely loved staying here.

Wow – what an awesome property. Professional staff, well maintained historic hotel. Beautiful lobby and rooms. By far the nicest hotel of our trip. Breakfast was the usual, but it seems so much better when you’re eating it with silverware and china. The room was very dark with one window that had a broken Roman shade. We finally came up with a solution - binder clips to the rescue - but room was still on the dark side. There was a safe in the closet. Small bathroom vanity, but well appointed - even a make-up mirror! Cleburne is a small town with a train track running through it and that track is used - we heard trains all night! This is just a lovely hotel and I would highly recommend it.
