Tom and Sue were the best hosts! My husband surprised me with a saty at this cozy B and B. The breakfasts were simple, yet delicious! We appreciated the flexible breakfast times! We enjoyed Katie, the dog and seeing the cat too. They reminded us of our pets at home!
We booked this place close to our friend house for celebrate a birthday and was pleasantly surprised first from the location in the beautiful country and after with the restored building. We get the "Fanny" bedroom, very comfortable and spent a good night. Early in the morning we had a very nice breakfast with the owners Tom and Susan and we enjoyed to talked with them about many things, they are really very nice , it will be difficult to find people like them in any hotel or B&B. For sure in our next trip in the area we come back at this place that we recommend to anybody.
I stayed with my significant other over the weekend . Couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay !! It is very peaceful and relaxing like living in the countryside, yet close to big city attractions . Initially I had chosen the Sallie Room but on arrival was pleasantly surprised that we got an upgrade to the bunkhouse . It gave us a lot of privacy . The room was very comfortable and the jacuzzi was an added bonus. Tom and Sue are great hosts . We had some great conversations over delicious breakfast . Since I’m a vegetarian, Sue had vegetarian sausages for me . We are definitely coming back . It is a gem !!!!
We stayed in the Fanny room. It was just what we needed for our visit. It has a balcony that I wish we could have enjoyed but we were busy with family from early until late each day. The room was furnished appropriately with plenty of room. The bathroom has only a shower which was all we needed. There was plenty of hot water. The Kerr Inn is on a quiet country road and faces the east so you can stand on the front porch or in the yard and see some beautiful sunrises. The Fanny room balcony is on the north side of the house so you can get both sunrises and sunsets. There is ample parking close to the house. I noted large umbrellas by the front door but did not need them. The home is warm and makes you want to just sit and relax. Sue and Tom are warm hosts. They know the local area and are glad to share experiences with you. They are engaging but also very respectful of your privacy when you want/need it. We enjoyed a long chat with them at breakfast and beyond. We really enjoyed learning how they became B&B hostess/host. Also about Sue's writing and Tom's woodworking. We needed to leave early our last day and they got up early to prepare us a "to go" breakfast consisting of a yummy breakfast sandwich and cup of yogurt with granola and blueberries. The coffee was ready along with to go cups. The Inn is convenient to Celina, Frisco and McKinney. We will certainly stay with them again. I would highly recommend staying with Tom and Sue. The only downside would be if you have allergies to cats or dogs. They do note they have cats and a dog in all their promotional material so it is not a surprise when you get there. All are very well behaved and were never a problem for us. We are not pet owners. The cats and dogs did not bother us.…
The Kerr Inn provides a great place to get away but still be close enough to restaurants and other activities. It was quiet, clean, the breakfast was delicious, and Tom and Susan are as friendly as they come.
