Savannah's Meadow

Savannah's Meadow

Named for the surrounding majestic oaks, this treehouse stands two or three stories up from the ground. You enter the front door after walking up a ramp, past the hot tub and pool that resides below. The front door opens onto a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy living area complete with futon, loveseat, and chair. The living tree runs straight through the center of this treehouse, bringing nature indoors.

This is the most lovely & relaxing getaway location. The treehouse is up to date with all the amenities, including a very comfortable bed & a charming bathroom and kitchen. The hosts provide you everything you need to have a relaxing stay in a cozy & secluded treehouse up among the trees. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck & walking around the lovely property which includes a charming fairy trail & friendly goats & donkeys you can feed.

Stayed in the Majestic Oak Treehouse in late October - Was a neat and unique experience - They have lots of quirky and fun decoration and detail built into the grounds and the treehouse itself - Middle aged kids would love it! - Hot Tub was working and was hot and very relaxing - Pool (it's really a sitting pool - only about 2 feet deep) would be nice during summer - Pool and Hot Tub are only for the Majestic Oak Treehouse - We toured the grounds and they had several interesting and fun areas including the animals, small pond, canoes, bikes, herb gardens, and two trails - Unfortunately the weather was cold and it rained, so we didn't get the true "open-air treehouse" experience - The heater was not able to keep the treehouse, bathroom, or bedroom warm - I would guess the opposite would be true in the heat of summer it would be somewhat hot - Also some maintenance issues: the cold faucet in the bathroom didn't work, the shower was lukewarm at best, burned out light bulbs - Since the treehouse moves with the tree, none of the doors are square, so they are hard to open and close - Overall we had a good experience and the weather was the worst part - I would visit again and recommend to others.

Ron and Susan are gracious hosts. The treehouse was better than expected. It was wonderful to get unplugged and enjoy the surroundings. I highly recommend the experience and look forward to returning in the future.
