Booked this room via venere.com for just under $100. Booking directly with hotel was $50 more expensive. Room doors open to outside like a motel, parking is right in front of rooms. Locks are modern secure, card based. Rooms are nice and roomy, with modern baths, etc. Rooms have outdoor balconies on the back side, very nice. Aside from the...

We just had a lovely stay over Thanksgiving here. The room was very clean and large, and we enjoyed the balcony. Yes, the hotel needs a lot of updating, but for our special price, it was a good deal, and we we had room to spread out. The shower was strong and hot, and my two grown kids really enjoyed...

The hotel is nice and their wedding accommodations are amazing. The room staff is very friendly and polite. That's where the pleasant experience ends though. The restaurant is overpriced and understaffed. We had to flag down a waitress to acknowledge the fact we were there and take our order. We were a large party so it's not like we were...

Some nice views, but we felt like we walked into a 1970s/1980s hotel when we arrived. The staff is wonderful; very helpful, cheerful, and they understand customer service. In our room, the mattress was wrapped in plastic under the sheets; we spent the night making scrunching noises every time we turned and sweating - even with the AC and the...

Stayed here for a wedding, rooms were semi clean had to change out the bed spread it had a nice stain on it. Other than that average room nothing fancy mini fridge was a nice touch. The bartenders at the restaurant needed to learn their own drink menu.

The hotel offers a large view on the Hill Country from every room, from the swimming pool and the restaurant. The large, white, comfortable room fulfilled our expectations with its terrace. The staff at the reception desk, the bar and the restaurant was very welcoming and helpfull. The swimming pool is surrounded by trees and flowers and we enjoyed the discretion...

This could be a beautiful hotel...the grounds are lush and well kept. Nice balconies...The staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant was great. Breakfast delicious and moderately priced. BUT...this hotel is overpriced for the condition of the rooms. Mattresses are old and need to be replaced...and box springs or bed frame squeak. The air conditioner is old and noisy, ran constantly...

Public areas are lovely. My room overlooked the dumpster but they immediately changed it when I requested it. Lovely to sit on porch and look over the valley. Rooms are getting shabby but are large Reasonable restaurant with good service. On the edge of town on hwy but quiet.

We stayed only one night. Slept GREAT! The room was spacious with a separate dressing/vanity area. I loved the patio complete with 2 chairs and a beautiful view! Although the room offers 2 dining chairs inside along with a small table, my husband is "spoiled" to a soft chair or sofa in our room to accommodate his morning coffee time....

We went on a groupon offer and it was a great deal that included breakfast and $ off dinner. There's not much to do in Castroville so plan this when you just want to "get away from it all". We did take the historic walking tour in Castroville which was interesting. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly....
