Just got back from a very relaxing, cozy, and wonderful weekend at the Cedar Cabin. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Relaxing on the back porch with the hot tub watching the wildlife was just what we were looking for. This cabin was very private, situation at the end of the road. Coffee and hot tea in the morning sitting outside was a great way to start the day and a fire in the fire pit was just the way to end the day. We highly recommend these cabins and plan on making a return trip. Thanks Justin, for a great experience!!
Where do I start? My wife and I stayed here for our 25th Anniversary. We have stayed at a LOT of different destinations over these 25 years and this one is hands down the best. The cabin is very attractive, cozy and private. It is equipped with everything that you could possibly want. The hot tub is awesome, the kitchen is well equipped, everything is very clean and tidy. Deer literally strolled right up to the feeder by the back porch the whole time that we were there. The minute that we unpacked all of our stress melted away. The only negative that I can even think of was having to leave! We will definitely be back for all future anniversaries and any other reason that we can think of to come here!
Pros: Everything you would need for a getaway, even coffee and filters, dishes, pans. So many decorative details, nicely appointed with a cabin design. Hot tub is clean and very private. Short drive to Gruene, New Braunfels, San Marcos, and close to San Antonio. More room than the Texas Tiny House, but still so cozy. Fireplace. Fire pit. Huge deck with wonderful private views of the woods and valleys, plus we saw deer on two of our three days. Comfortable bed. Easy check-in and check out. Good communication with the owners. Cons: I was really looking forward to lazing in the huge hammock, but it wasn’t in a private area and it was covered in mold. Not a deal breaker, but disappointing. A small cozy couch in the main room would’ve allowed for a romantic setting in front of the fireplace, instead of the two large chairs. I know space is limited, though. Another wonderful weekend with everything we could need. I look forward to another great weekend there.…
My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Montview Cottage to celebrate our 25th anniversary. It was the perfect size, actually a little larger than I was expecting. The cottage was very clean and well-maintained. It got a little chilly outside, but the heaters kept the cottage nice and warm. The hot tub was a real treat, very private and comfortable. The grill had plenty of fuel and the small kitchen was functional with provided dishes, pot and utensils. Though the bathroom is small, the shower was quite large. The king sized bed was extremely comfortable. All in all, it was perfect for a relaxing few days away from it all and I am so happy that we chose this place.
I planned this trip as a weekend getaway for my boyfriend, and I. It was his birthday, and he HATES even mentioning it so was very reluctant about the trip. When we arrived the cabin was nice and cool, soft music was playing, and it had the most wonderful ambiance! Quickly we relaxed, and decided other than buying some groceries we would not leave. A wonderful hot shower with a view to the stars, plenty of towels, and even robes to use when we got out of the hot tub! Deer fed out back each morning as we had our coffee, and in the evening we sat in the hot tub on the back porch while grilling steaks. A gorgeous sky full of stars each night, and complete tranquility made it hard to leave on Sunday. We will definitely be back!
