We had a reservation for July 2nd. We called to ask questions about the river closure and they canceled our reservation. We NEVER said we wanted to cancel our reservation. Courtney the manager was VERY rude!!! Never stay here. They do not care about their customers or their reviews.

We would like to respond with clarification. Guest called on day Texas closed river outfitters and asked to cancel because “the only reason we are coming is to float the river”. When guest was told her deposit would not be refunded, she said she would call her credit card company and (challenge the charges). Ask to clarify, she hung up. We decided to refund all but a small processing fee to avoid conflict. When she called two days later and claimed she didn’t plan to cancel, we offered a new unit that would accommodate her party of 5 at a lower cost. The guest wouldn’t confirm or reject offer - just more threats for a bad review and hung up. We have refunded the processing fee as well. We truly do not know how to respond to customers that do not provide clear guidance and only offer threats.

State parks are usually our first pick but due to COVID-19 restrictions we were unable to find a spot in this area during this time. Thankfully, we found Mystic Quarry which turned out to be the perfect place for our trip. Check-in was a breeze - a guide led us to our site and assisted us with backing into the shady corner spot. We appreciated the service which continued through our week-long stay. Staff was ever-present and even quickly hand-delivered our wi-fi login info. The facility is clean and well-maintained. The laundry room has large washers and dryers and there’s a little shop that sells camping goods and more. The tent site area and nature trail are nice as well. I only wish we would’ve been there for one of the live Friday night music events - they look like lots of fun as does the pool and recreation area. The day trips we planned to New Braunfels, Wimberley, Gruene, Fredricksburg, and San Antonio were each about an hour or less making it centrally located for our day plans. Access to Canyon Lake and the Guadalupe River are only a few minutes away and are both really beautiful. Thanks for being such a great home base - we look forward to a return visit!

Lots of accommodation options. We came with 2 other RV families and had we planned ahead better would loved to have used the buddy sites. We enjoyed our time at the park, our day on the river, our day on the lake and Friday night’s live entertainment. Our kiddos enjoyed the pool. Everyone was very friendly and customer service was some of the best we’ve experienced. Enjoyed supplies delivered to our site. So many thoughtful touches throughout the park. We felt like guests in the owner’s home. Will make plans to return and recommend to others.

My husband and I came here to get some work done on my truck. We started in a pull through spot which was out by all the activity and still a very nice and comfortable site! We had to extend our stay last minute and moved to a back in site which turned out to be quite the perfect spot. This plays has enough to do for everyone in the family to enjoy! 1 mile from river tubing, 1 mile from canyon lake, and about 20 minutes from Historic Greune and also new braunfels. There’s a grocery store close by. Already looking to visit again, well worth the trip!! Owners are very accommodating and helpful and park is spotless.

What an incredible place to stay. So much to do and everyone is so friendly. Every building is pristine, inviting and you will want to spend time in all of them. There are so many activities including a trail around the property to walk. The sites are close together and we just fit in our site, but they are pretty much level gravel. All of the staff members are so friendly and helped us park our rig in our site. The road ways are a little narrow but having all the trees is worth it. A must stay place if you are looking to visit New Braunfels, San Marcos and are looking to be out of the busyness. There is music Friday nights at the bar just outside and is worth checking out. There is a Brookshire Brothers Market up the road and it has a great selection of items and overall great prices. Just down the road there is a Pie shop that has great pies and amazing cookies. Hiking on the Madrone trail was nice but right along the road way so it is not very quiet. The Guadalupe River State park is about 40 min away and has nice hiking trails that are flat on one side of the river and more challenging ones on the other side. WiFi was very good and we were able to stream without paying for the upgraded package. I work from the road and had no issues with connections or speeds. We were not able to get any OTA channels but that was fine since we had great WiFi. Laundry facilities are nice, $1.75 to wash and $1.50 to dry.
