My husband and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary at the Hudspeth House. We live in Amarillo but just needed some time away from the hustle of our lives and some quiet from the children and this wonderful home offered both! Our hosts, Van and Jill, were most accommodating, the room was warm and inviting, and our breakfast of fruit parfait,... More

My partner and I stayed at Hudspeth House over the New Year's holiday and had a wonderful time. The home is beautiful and the accommodations were cozy and inviting. Van and Jill were very attentive, and we enjoyed pleasant, easy conversation with them each morning. The breakfasts were delicious and everything was prepared fresh daily. There was much attention to... More

My Fiance and I stayed at Hudspeth House in December for 2 nights. We had intended to stay for 3 nights, but got stuck in Lubbock during the Blizzard. Jill and Van were extremely flexible with our arrival due to weather, and did not penalize us at all for only staying 2 of 3 nights. They were most concerned for... More

My boyfriend and I stayed a night here for a weekend getaway for our anniversary. I had reserved a room a month in advance and the reservation process was simple. Once we arrived, we were greeted at the door and then given a tour of the house. The owners were sweet without being too invading of our personal space. We... More

The rooms are decorated perfectly and are very clean and tidy. Jill prepares a delicious and different breakfast every day. She is mindful of the dietary needs of the guests. Coffee is available before breakfast is served and snacks are put out about 4pm.

We stayed there for 2 days last weekend. We reserved the O'Keefe room which is the largest room in the establishment. This is an old boarding house and has a lot of character including the creaks and groans that come with an old home. I loved it. Room was very nice with a king size bed. It had very homey... More

So glad you enjoyed the O'Keeffe room...it is the largest in the house and provides a claw-footed tub and shower to please different preferences. The porch is always a favorite spot during nice weather days. Thanks for staying with us! More

We made Hudspeth House our midway point to visit our son in Colorado. First of all, Van and Jill are tremendous hosts and we especially loved the fact that they honor God in all they do - from the sincere welcoming, to how they treat their guests and the prayers over our travels and FABULOUS breakfast. What a fun house... More

We too enjoyed chatting with you and learning about your kids. Thanks for choosing to stay in Canyon...we are just 15 mins. south of Amarillo. We have a charming town square, incredible museum and so close to beautiful Palo Duro Canyon. We look forward to your next visit on your way to Colorado Springs! More

I was looking to order tickets for the musical Texas and noticed a bundled package. It was for a bed and breakfast with excellent seats for the play included. Since I planned on spending the night close to Palo Duro Canyon this was a no brainer. My granddaughter, 17, and I arrived before evening and were immediately charmed by the... More

Thank you for such a detailed and enjoyable review. It was a pleasure to have you and your granddaughter stay with us. Teenagers are often hard to please, so we consider it quite a compliment that she really liked her visit with us and the other guests. I love seeing young people engage in conversation with an older generation. More

We stayed at this lovely B&B on the way to and returning from Sturgis. As the title states, EVERYTHING was perfect! It is located very close to Palo Duro Canyon. Hudspeth house is a wonderful historic home in Canyon, TX (gateway to Palo Duro State Park). My wife and I were just driving through on our way to Colorado from Texas, but we are so glad we stopped. The lighthouse room on the 3rd floor was perfect for our needs. Comfortable bed with a claw-foot tub right in the bedroom!... More
