A newer hotel, rooms are nicely furnished. Clean. WIFI worked OK. Excellent breakfast offerings and layout. Immediately adjacent to WTAMU. Well off the highway though. Restaurants nearby. Excellent bedding and mattress. Staff friendly and helpful. Only minor negative is that neither of the exterior end doors would operate with the room keys, and you had to enter through the front...

Loved the breakfast - hot and cold items that varied from day to day. Enjoyed the sauna and the pool every day - maybe a little high chlorine level but very relaxing and good for kids letting off steam. Easy parking. Clean well kept rooms. Friendly touches like fresh baked cookies in the lobby. Centrally located to all the palo...

We have stayed at this location many times and we have always had a good time! This time we had a first impression of a unit with dishes on the coffee table, bed looked like someone had sat there already and the 8 steps to go down were very dangerous with only on side having a rail .We requested to...

Our favorite place to stay when we are in Canyon. Always friendly people, clean rooms and good food. The breakfast buffet is very good, muffins, sausage seasoned omelettes and other selections. Drinks include cranberry juice. My only problem was that the flexible hose in the shower was loose at the shower head. I tightened it up and it worked fine. We...

Stayed 1 night when moving daughter into WTAMU. Will absolutely stay again! Hotel is updated, very clean, comfortable room with necessary amenities and comfortable bed. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is typical selection but all good. Good flavors of coffee creamer offered which is a huge bonus for me!

We stayed here overnight on a trip. Our room was very clean with new linens and good bedding. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was typical HIE fare, and was replenished and kept warm. Parking was well lit and we felt safe the entire stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Canyon. Location was excellent for us - close to Palo Duro Canyon. We stayed in what was probably the biggest room in the hotel, with two bedrooms (one with a king bed, one with a queen bed), a living area with a sofa bed, and two bathrooms. Very nice for the price...

Stayed at the HIX canyon for a family trip to Palo Duro Canyon. We chose a king suite room with jetted tub. Room was outstanding. Hotel was outstanding. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent, with moderate selection. Staff was very friendly and helpful. 12 miles from Palo Duro Canyon State Park, which is worth the visit as well....

My room had a thick layer of dust next to the in room refrigerator, and microwave. In addition a layer of dust was visible on the walls, as well as around the edging of the room. It doesn't appear as though this facility deep cleans their rooms on a routine basis.

There are only 2 hotels in Canyon, and I thought it would be nice to stay there, since we were there for the Palo Duro Canyon (which is amazing by the way :-)) But, unfortunately, the Holiday Inn Express was not at all up to the standard you would expect from any other hotel that charges around $100 for a...
