Nueces River RV and Cabin is a nice and quiet place to stay. We loved the short walk to the river to swim and fish. Our cabin was nice. We are happy we got the linen and pots and pan option. We forgot coffee creamer and a few other things. There is no store onsite but the host generously offered us her personal creamer. The only disappointment was the pool needed maintenance and it was not open during our stay. The kids loved the splash pad, though.

Nice getaway from the big city. It is located in Camp wood TX, which is secluded and offers a very peaceful ambient. We had a great time with the kids and other adults. This resort has easy access to the Nueces river. They have a splash pad, pool, volleyball and basketball court, and small playground for the kids. We will definitely be back next summer.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Sites we're large with plenty of space between neighbors. WiFi is spotty and only 1 device per site. We had none at our site, so a completely unplugged weekend which was fine for us. Nice, well maintained cabins and playground. Not a place for dogs, too many stickers. Great rally room. Overall, it was a nice RV resort.

Unfortunately this was not the right place for us. Yes, it is quiet as there is nothing here. 35 minutes from Uvalde, Texas, so you have to drive back & forth for your groceries. We were told that we could not get mail here, but actually the Post Office in Camp Wood told us that they will hold your mail for 5 days. Biggest disappointment was that we paid for the month of March, but we were told we had to leave by 11:00 AM on March 31st. All other campsites you leave on the morning after. With everything listed it ends up being more expensive than a place in town, especially if you are Canadian.

This place is poorly ran and is not in the best condition when it comes to camping. When we arrived we were the only people at the campsites.
The area for each campsite is about the third of the area you would get at a state park. Keep this in mind if you are planning on putting up 2 decent size tents. Also keep in mind not all the campsites have a picnic table. We had to move one just so we had a picnic table. Our area didn't have much shade which irritated me because we were the only ones there. It appears the tree that use to provide shade was trimmed and most of the branches were cut off leaving a tall stump with one branch.
The river is not on the edge of the Nueces RV and Resort anymore. You will have a short hike over rocky terrain that use to be the river bottom to get to the river. This area is not as clean as other parts of the Nueces River so you will have to leave the park to get to a cleaner area.
The dog park is a joke. It might be adequate for a small dog if its the only one in there.
The restroom and showers for the men and women are separated. It appears the women's has been either up kept better or somewhat recently renovated. The mens restroom only has 2 stalls and 2 showers. So if the campsite gets busy expect long lines. The mens restroom was filthy and outdated.
The pool and splash pad are small for the amount of people this place can hold so make sure you go during non peak season.
Overall I would save your money and support your local state parks.

Nueces River RV park was a excellent place, we had a great time. Place ( cabin) was every clean and all ready for us by noon when we got there. Now let’s talk about the staff. The lady in the office was great and helpful, but I forget her name, but her husband his name is Cory and he does the outside maintance he was a high help with all my questions and he help with whatever issues you had if he could. He Pinoted out where to go on the River and if you needed something where might be the best place to get it. We will be back!! Thank You Nueces River RV Park Robert Simm

The campground is so remote. Nothing to do at the campground. The nearest town is 45 minutes away. The owner was not the friendliness and not very sympathetic either. She gave me Andy friendliness erroneous information regarding Mail. When you stay there for a month you have to leave on the last day rather then on the 1st of the following month. I will never go back again.

Beautiful place. Our cabin was clean and we opted for linen rental and the beds were made when we arrived. The full size kitchenette was wonderful. The river being so close and so pristine was a delight. The fly fishing was fun. We saw so many different birds and Camp Wood being so close for groceries was also nice! Wish we could go back soon.

This is a great RV park and well priced. The only complaint we had was that not all guests were following the rules of the park which were clearly stated on signs. I know the park can’t keep watch over everything all the time but maybe stating the rules upon checking would work. We will definitely return.

Overall everything was Great. (Grandkids loved splash pad & pool) Except the bathhouses. No toilet paper, paper towels & toilets stopped up. Sometimes it was noon or after before problem corrected.
