Two adults and one nine year old child stayed for on night This is a 5 star facility. The huge investment in the facilities and design is easy to see: - One of the best spas in Italy - Variety of rooms, villas and even farmhouses coming - 5 outdoor pools - with even the coldest just the right temperature - Excellent chefs and menus Sadly, they are clearly struggling with getting staff. The list of service issues was too long to detail, but included: - A staff member not knowing that Cafe Latte is milk and coffee - Warm Chardonnay…and about 2/3 of a glass poured - Most poolside restaurant staff unable to take orders because they did not know the menu - Bell boys who do not know how to collect bags Not good enough for a resort of this quality and price.
Very nice place and reasonable prices for spa and accommodation. Highly recommend it! You can even come for a half a day or 2 hour relax . I have bought also the mud which was wonderful and super natural . 👌👌👌
Situated about 30 mins outside Bologna, the resort sits on a hilltop with an incredible view of the surrounding area. Almost like a campus with wide lawns and a variety of buildings, lots to see and explore. The rooms are top notch (stayed in the Terraces) and very quiet. Perfect for jet lagged naps. Common areas and especially the pools are well kept and gorgeous. Food in the poolside restaurant is top notch. Usually in the States, hotel restaurants are sub par however the food has been unique and outstanding. Try the olive oil! 100% recommend going on a nice walk to take in the countryside, gorgeous vineyards nearby. One of the highlights of our stay. Lastly, the service has been some of the best in my many years of travel. From finding me an electric adaptor, to arranging a taxi to being super diligent with my partners food allergies the staff went above and beyond. Well done and much noticed.…
Our stay at the palace was impeccable. Staring from The dinner service on the 31, everything was great from the food to the staff. Chef Francesco Manograsso went above and beyond the call of duty even making us lenticchie (for wealth in the mew year) at the stroke of midnight. The fireworks were beautiful and our waitress, Anna, was a dream. She explained every course throughly & professionally and was never late in replenishing our glass which is always a welcome bonus. We even had the chance to meet the director of the establishment, mr. Morelli, who was incredibly kind, humble and welcoming. The SPA was also stunning. The grounds are impeccably maintained, the staff is kind, knowledgeable and professional and you legit feel your cells regenerating with every hour spent in the place. Highly recommend all around.…
I went to the SPA a rather unpleasant experience all together: first of all, the water is not thermal but simply tap water with bubbles and tons of chemicals. this made my skin very dry ... the pools are not terribly warm, small and without many attractions, just bubbles and a couple of small falls. the staff at reception write pleasant, although no one explain to me how to use the lockers. then inside the poll we were treated quite badly, only to have left our rope in a bench. the experience overall totally unacceptable considering you pay 50 euros just to get in! never again.
Used to be excellent - now clearly trying to maximise the profit at the expense of guest enjoyment. Our rooms were only half cleaned leaving the previous day’s room service lying around, the “complimentary water” wasn’t replaced and when we asked for it they attempted to charge EUR20 for two new bottles. One of the main reasons for attending used to be the spa, now we have two small kids we booked the only slot available on Sunday morning only to be told by the lifeguard you can’t actually use the spa with kids and have to go to the youth club pool on the roof. Maybe still ok for a couples weekend if you don’t mind your room not being cleaned but families should avoid. Must have been a bad year for selling personal data at CRIF the owners - shame they’ve let the place go
Awesome service !! . Let me explain: Victim of a back pain prior to my arrival, I would have loved to stay in bed till my departure at 2 pm the day after. As the hotel was fully occupied and as the Covid protocol needs more room cleaning time, they offered me a bed at the spa location for 2 hours. It was so helpful: I got ice, creme to deal with the pain, next to tea and cookies. So nice and so kind. Even helping me to put my shoes ! Same level of attention than in hospitals. Thank you all.
We stayed in the resort for 4 days and had a great, relaxing time. Very good service in the spa as well as in restaurants and lounge. The staff is friendly and helpful. Landscape and the area are breathtaking - you have planty of space to go for a walk or even a run. They also offer foods and drinks made at their resort for example variety of olive oils, fruits, wine, jam etc that I really recommend trying. Except for the more "busy" swimmingpools, there were also few more private and quiet ones spaced around the place. Overall we were happy about our stay. Very pleasant time
Really deserves its 5 stars luxury designation! Visited during December with the Covid protocols in place. Pros: The staff is excellent and friendly. The room was very clean and modern along with nice amenities. The Private Spa Fusion is worth the price for a couple to experience The dinner at the La Marzoline was excellent along with the service. Unfortunately, the pool areas were closed, but they looked really great as I think there are like 7 pools. If I had a con, it would only be that some signage could be improved. Anyway, this place is a hidden jewel as it is only 30 minutes from the Bologna area. We can't wait to back!
We came here spontaneously for a long weekend after homeoffice was starting to get to us and we didn‘t want to fly anywhere due to Covid. If you are looking for quality time with your SO far away from people and don‘t wanna expose yourselves to any unnecessary Covid risks, this place is a good option. The complex is huge and offers a large spa, sports area, gym and two heated outdoor pools (in fall). Given that there were not too many people staying at the resort (except for visitors to the spa and brunch on sunday, which we skipped) and everything was very clean, we felt more comfortable here than in a small boutique hotel, which would have been our first choice if not for Covid. The pros: - very clean - large complex - comfy beds with a selection of pillows - spacious room - polite staff The cons: - Not the best sleep quality... and to make matters worse, on the last day of our stay, Godzilla and his family moved into the room above us. We had booked the noise canceling and slightly more expensive ‚deluxe prestige double‘ room but these rooms seem to be directly under the ‚deluxe’ rooms and the noise cancelling was a joke. It’s around 6:30 a.m. now and i’m wide awake, so at least i have time to write this review - the billiard room has the worst billiard table in the world, but in a way it’s so bad, it’s kinda funny - The AC in the room didn‘t work on the last night - The super bright bathroom light turns on as soon as you open the bathroom door, which is a killer in the middle of the night - If you like it dark, take a sleep mask Restaurants and Spa - there were 2 restaurants open, with the gourmet ‚palazzo‘ being closed. The restaurants were ok. There are a few michelin-star restaurants not too far away, if you book in advance you might get a table (we were too late) - The spa and most of the treatments are almost always fully booked, especially at the weekends, so you might wanna book ahead, just to be on the safe side. We still each managed to get a massage, though. It was nice. (They let up to 50 people into the Spa at the same time and that didn’t seem too relaxing) All in All: We had a good time and the resort offered the distraction from Covid that we were looking for. If we ever go again, we‘ll book better restaurants outside the property in advance and choose the junior suite with spa (it has a whirlpool and a sauna), so you don‘t have to use the regular spa. …
