We thoroughly enjoyed our Memorial weekend stay at the Veranda Guest House ~B&B. The Davy Crockett suite was large, spacious & decorated with some wonderful period pieces. The sitting room was very comfortable with a flat screen TV. Kate was a wonderful hostess & provided a pleasant breakfast including fresh fruit, quiche & biscuits. The location is a couple of blocks from 281 & 29, so you have easy access to any of the major points of interest. She also recommended Jardin Corona Mexican restaurant that overlooks Hamilton Park – friendly staff, good service, great Margarita’s & Tortilla soup. We’re looking forward to another visit & would definitely recommend the Veranda. For those wanting to go wine tasting the location is excellent. Marble Falls, Llano, & Lake Buchanan are just 30 minutes or less away.

Our anniversary is officially this weekend, and we went to Burnet to pick up our children at Camp Longhorn. This is simply a lovely old B&B. The owners are husband/wife team and are school teachers as well. They made our anniversary great -- from recommending a nice restaurant to ensuring we had a great breakfast!

Lots if neat antique furniture, pond is also nice. For a $100 plus room we expected more luxuary. The rm w king bed didnt have a tv in the bedroom. We took a room w a double size bed w tv, but the bed was not comfortable. Sheets were itchy w pillballs, security light kept us awake. No dvd player or coffee pot, but butch took care of us and brought coffee pot to room. No breakfast on site, instead, coupon for buffet at the highlander, which was good. People were all very friendly and helpful.

The Davy Crockett space was so roomy and comfortable. We enjoyed trying a sleep number bed. Hosts are helpful with the area. First week of April 2016 - best wildflowers were found out toward Longhorn State Park, up towards Inks, out to Llano and down to Fredericksburg. Loved the breakfast locale - lots of locals and hearty breakfast. I did miss having a breakfast at the B&B but it must be a new trend not to do them as the B&B we used in Fredericksburg also provided a breakfast voucher. Internet service was good. I also enjoyed the soaking tub - others might wish for a shower, but the tub does have a sprayer attachment. I would return and stay in the same room.

I am working over five hours from my family and was a last minute anniversary getaway, check in by 6:30 and both my wife and I ran into constructiontion and bad accidents where the roads were shut down. I called and explained what was happening and Shelly told me not to worry, just to get there safe. I arrived about twenty minutes before my wife so got checked in a tour, my bags unpacked and visited with Shellyand Jessie. They recommend a great restaurant and let us know what was going on in town for the weekend. The topper was a letter and anniversary wine glasses to keep as a reminder of our weekend. Thank you Shelly and Jessie

We were fortunate to luck upon finding this little jewel. I cannot praise this place enough. We stayed here this past weekend for the Blubonnet Festival there in Burnet. You were minutes away from the square which made both daytime and nighttime activities so very convenient. We stayed in The Houston room whcih was absolutely perfect. The furnishings were very nice and made you feel like you had stepped back in time. There is also a common area downstairs with a parlor and kitchen for all the guests to use if they so desire as well as a large outdoor area with a huge Koi pond, fireplace and table and chairs to relax out there as well. Shelli and Jesse are the perfect hosts and welcome you like family. You receive vouchers for your breakfast from a great little diner called Crazy Gals Cafe just down the road where you can have your made to order breakfast from some great folks as well. There was also a wonderful little BBQ joint right around the corner I would definately recommend as well called Post Mountain. We had a wonderful time on this little weekend getaway and look forward to when we can go back again.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Verandas Guest House while in doing a mud run in Burnet. I was hoping for a good night sleep before my vigorous run the next morning and this place did not disappoint. I squealed with excitement when she unlocked my room. (Houston Room) I was perfect! Everywhere I looked there were little antique treasures. The room was beautifully decorated but not gaudy. The bed-----wonderful! I felt like a princess and slept like a baby. The owners, were very accommodating and made you feel at home. No more hotels for me! I'm a B&B girl now!

Brief stay for date night as we explore Texas Hill Country. Super hosts that genuinely enjoy meeting and visiting with guests. Beautiful old house with superb quality bed and super soft towels and bedding. We enjoyed quiet evening with drinks by the pond (fed the fish) after a late dinner down the street. The backyard is still a bit overgrown, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Breakfast vouchers are provided for local restaurant which was also very good and friendly staff. Would love to plan another visit.

A very large group of us booked the Verandas for a Friday night. The place was lovely and clean. The outdoor area was wonderful. There is a covered flagstone area with an outdoor stone fireplace. It was fully stocked with wood and we made a wonderful fire to chase away the chill in the air. I am sure the gardens are beautiful in the spring and summer.
The interior is lovely, decorated with many beautiful antiques. We had quiet a large group and the place accommodated us all very well. Another friend of mine recommended this place to us after holding a 40th birthday party there. I am so glad she did! I highly recommend a stay at the Verandas. I plan to take my husband next time for a quiet get away for two.
