We come here for years twice a year for an extended weekend and always stay in one of their cabins. They also have a bit more expensive condos but we prefer the rustic cabin feeling. The only suggestion I have: get better mattresses. It's time for something a bit more firm instead of the soft spring version.

Nice people, nice location, but the room we stayed in was outdated, roaches in cabinet, shower you couldn’t even turn around in. Towel holder sits right above toilet so be careful pulling towels out as they can drop into toilet. Make sure your bill is done correctly when checking out. The barbecue grills they say they have are super small. We went to pay our bill and management insisted on us paying less, even though we asked them to check their math, as we should be paying more. Days later we all received phone calls insisting we owed more. Talking to my brothers it was suppose to be split 4 ways, but we all paid different prices. Our initial quote was $406, but we ended up paying $475. Thing is, we were going to make this our go to place, but after all this we decided we will go somewhere else. Customer service after leaving was frustrating It was their mistake; not ours. This was a big discussion between my brothers and I. In this review I’m just being honest. The location was nice and pleasant. The game room was nice, but could be updated. Again, the management was nice and only real issue was at checkout. I’d say if you wish to stay, make sure you request the newer condos as they are really nice.

Had a family reunion for 8 days at the heart of Texas lake resort. I’ll start with the owners and staff. Some of the most kind people we have ever met it was an honest pleasure having to deal with them. We had 2 cabins and a condo rented for all of us. The cabins we extremely well kept and clean excellent AC. And everything was provided from towels to silverware. Ruth Ann. And Paula had answers to all of our questions about local activities as well as the office carries fishing bait and some gear. The resort grounds are kept immaculate and it’s very peaceful all around here. This will be our new spot for reunions every year to come. We are extremely happy we found this little gem in Texas and highly recommend to anyone looking for an awesome place with good people. Thank you to the owners and we will see you next year for sure!!!

We have held a family reunion of 75+ people here for 8 or 9 years in a row and absolutely love this place! The accommodations aren't new but they're kept in like-new condition. The grounds are always immaculate and clean. The condo rooms, cabins and main lodge are always clean. The owners are very friendly and attentive. There are activities for everyone - boat ramp and docks, swimming pool, miniature golf, game room, horseshoes and volleyball. It's also a wonderful place to just relax in the shade overlooking the river. We always look forward to our 4-day weekend here every summer! I'm sure it's a great place to visit in the off-season as well. If I could improve on one thing it would be the wi-fi. It'll fetch your email but not suitable for working if you have to bring your laptop with you.

This is a very nice place, clean, and right on the Colorado river. There are nice boat docks, plenty of activities for all ages, you may need to bring lawn chairs and extra towels, and what you will need for meals. You have to book a year ahead of time, but check with their site and give them a call.
