So, what started out as a business trip became a life changing experience! I have found an amazing place - just sorry I didn't find it sooner! Perfect for a get away with friends, family or for business uses. Canyon of the Eagles is a simple, service orientated paradise. Don't wait as long as I did to visit!

The restaurant and grounds are absolutely beautiful--it doesn't get much better than their view over Lake Buchanan. The meal, however, was unremarkable. We had the house-made mozzarella, which was yummy. The salmon was okay, and the osso bucco was very tasty, but not nearly tender enough. I had to ask for a steak knife to cut it, and that was...

For the most part it is your typical campground with cabins. The public areas up near the front may have a little finer finishes than most campgrounds. Cons -People who view the lake can also look right into your sliding glass door and view you as well. This is also the case because you share a porch with your neighbor....

Hello SSims07, I want to start out by saying we appreciate you choosing to stay at Canyon of the Eagles, and appreciate taking the time to review us. We apologize for the lack of privacy felt in our double queen adjoining rooms, and for the lack of effective communication in describing the shared porch upon check in. With regards to...

I almost don't want to publish this...because I feel like it is my little hidden gem! This place is fantastic, what a wonderful retreat. We have stayed here twice and love the campy, but upscale feel. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, the staff is friendly and the layout if fantastic. I can't say enough good things! Drove to this place yesterday to check it out for a possible stay on November 14. I thought it would be a great place to view the supermoon. The women at the reception desk were not busy (it was, in fact, dead at mid-morning on a Monday!). They were less than happy to see me! One of the women actually...

This was a 'dog' weekend, as the resort is dog friendly. I stayed in the hotel and had a lake view, which was really, really nice. Several of our group stayed in the campsites, too. I saw some beautiful things on hikes. There isn't much else to do if you don't like to hike. But the trails I was on...

My husband and I were looking for a nice getaway for our anniversary of 37 years - even booked the mini-moon package. This is not a resort - just a glorified campground with cabins. Beds are awful - feel like sleeping on boards; floors in the cabins are concrete; no amenities to speak of. Even the food in the dining...

Canyon of the Eagles Resort was a nice time away from the daily grind. Beautiful views, well maintained property, cute rooms, and friendly staff (for the most part).
