Canyon of the Eagles Resort was a nice time away from the daily grind. Beautiful views, well maintained property, cute rooms, and friendly staff (for the most part). The pool is cute, we were hoping for a jacuzzi which they do not have. The food was ok, we mostly had the buffets which had a nice selection of food. Definitely... More

Let me first say that this park is owned by LCRA, but the management of the park is contracted to a third-party company. Having said that, it was over $200 to camp here in a travel trailer for three nights. The sites needed maintenance. The 30 amp breaker was falling inside the box, and the water faucet was leaking. The... More

My wife and I spent a weekend here to get away from the daily grind. The resort is isolated from major highways and the city lights which help with the peacefulness at night and the star lit sky. We enjoyed not having a TV in our room as a distraction. There was a TV in the bar so we were... More

So you get to the end of the road, 2341 and you dead end at Nature Park, Canyon of the Eagles. This is a small, quaint resort that is perfect when you want to have some solitude, take long "hot" walks, sit on the porch and view the lake all day.....or jump in the pool to cool off! Atop Lake... As others have stated, this resort if a bit remote - about 15 minutes from Burnet. For some, that will be too far out. For others, this is part of the charm. It is situated on the bluff overlooking Lake Buchanan and has a lovely view of the sunset over the water. The rooms are in groups of two or... More

As for the resort, it's a little rustic and doesn't have television in the rooms, but that's what the experience is all about. The staff is wonderfully attentive, and can tell you ll bout the area and things to do. The resort is very dog friendly, and a pleasure to stay in I give the resort a 4 of 5.... More

This place is great. We stayed in a room that had two beds, nice bathroom, no TV. The receptionist insisted we make dinner reservations at the on spot restaurant (which we were going to do anyways), but we were the only people there. I wished we could of eaten later. The food and service were wonderful. The kids enjoyed pizza... More

My spouse and I visited COE for my 37th bday. We hike the State Parks of Texas frequently and wanted to check out the trails here. Many trails are closed from 3/1-8/31 for wildlife nesting. The trails that were open were very well marked, wide, and well shaded. There were a few pieces of trash on the trails as well... More

This was a nice quiet place in Feb, almost no one there. The place was not as clean as I was hoping. The floors are slab and we all had to wear shoes because of all the grit on the floors. The sheets didn't seem to clean either. Maybe they were placed on the floor prior to putting on the... More

We decided to stay at this resort for one night to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. It was a short getaway from Austin. Only 1 1/2 hours to get there. We loved our room with a queen size bed and a picture window with a great view of Lake Buchanan. We were in Cabin F1. There were two rocking chairs... More
