I’d really give it 4.5 stars which is very high for me. I loved every bit of it ! The views are incredible. The spa downstairs is fantastic, especially when you’ve got the place to yourself. Our waiter in the restaurant was very attentive to my garlic allergy and looked after us beautifully. We had room 303 which was bright pink - totally over the top but i felt that added to the authentic-ness of the region and hotel. Our room had the most incredible views over the valley and old town. The bed was great, the shower was great, the pillows were typically just ok. Nothing was too much trouble and we were very happy with our stay here.

Room Tip: Make sure you go for a walk through the old town and around the river. It’s very pretty

The hotel has it´s own charm. It´s on wonderful and quiet place. We had a suite overlooking the river. All was beautiful, stylish and clean there. There is a very nice and helpful staff. Never happened to me, that something would be a problem for them. There is a small, but wonderful wellness. A great place to relax and rest. I will definitely return to this place!

We booked a superior room with a valley view which was indeed pleasant, but disappointingly the windows are quite small and there's no balcony, so it's a bit hard to enjoy it. The room was fine, comfortable and blissfully quiet. Bathroom only had a tub placed away from the wall with no shower curtain (which would have to go all the way around the tub) so impossible to take a shower without making a huge mess. On the other hand it was nice to take a bath. Very good food in the restaurant but the decor - red, plasticky cheap cafeteria style - is a bit weird for what seems like the best and most expensive place in town. One irritant - the big picture windows in the restaurant seriously needed cleaning! The location is good, a short walk from the center, and the hotel has plenty of parking which is great.

The hotel with its modern architecture opened in 2013. The rooms are housed in two different buildings our standard room seemingly being in the renovated part. There was no air conditioning, no lift and the spiral staircase to the first floor was insecure because of only one handrail mounted on the side of the narrow steps.
There is free parking available in the courtyard.
The hotel is situated on a mountain ridge. It is just a short walk from the hotel to the old town of Nove Mesto n.M.
The staff at the reception was very friendly and open for suggestions regarding improvements so the hotel should be kept an eye on. In stark contrast the staff in the restaurant made a rather disinterested impression.
The breakfast was very disappointing: no orange juice, the apple juice was lukewarm, the coffee turned out to be brown-colored water, the sausages were extremely fat. The attractive location of the terrace with its beautiful views cannot make up for the poor food.
The hotel offers a small but very modern spa with a pool, Jacuzzi and sauna, which can be reached by a lift from the restaurant. The water temperature was on the cool side but acceptable. You can see the old town of Nove Mesto n.M. from the pool area.
Our room on the first floor offered a view of the restaurant and the parking lot. There were no bedside lamps which is completely inacceptable in a 4-star hotel. The TV screen was rather small.
On the other hand the bathroom was quite spacious and had modern fittings.
The free Wi-Fi in the room worked satisfactorily.
Our recommendation is to book a room in the newly built part of the hotel. In addition it is advisable to observe the evaluation of the quality of breakfast in future reviews.

I can only comment on our visit of the hotel spa. My husband and me, we booked a massage for two. While booking, I told the receptionist that I am pregnant. She said they can offer me a massage while seating and that it is ok, provided I am not in my first three months of gravidity, which I was not. So we arrived and the masseuse told me just like that she is afraid to give me a massage, have a nice day! I was really shocked. It is a four star hotel, so I would expect a nicer attitude from her, better apology, compensation or trying to offer me something else. Nothing like that happened. They gave a massage only to my husband but did not know for how long was the massage booked which caused another need for clarification. There is clearly a very big issue on the communication level.
The wellness was nice but I was not impressed. Very loud (and I mean VERY loud) music. I told them to turn it down but it was still quite loud. There were only three deckchairs around the jacuzzi, lockers were so small it was not possible to fit my handbag in. I liked the swimming pool which is in another building but has a really nice view.

Awesome place to stay in a great location. We enjoyed the huge bath tub, bed was very comfortable and the view was spectacular. Breakfast was also very good and the staff was friendly. We would definitely stay again. The pic shows the view from our room (Superior)

We have stayed at this hotel since it opened and have always experienced problems. We stay there because of the location and at first put things down to 'teething problems', but it hasn't improved. There is no air conditioning and the housekeeping is terrible. A thick layer of dust on the bedside and coffee tables! On several visits we have had at least one day where they don't even bother to do the rooms. The spa is hit and miss too.
We stayed at a 4 star hotel in Brno this time too, and there was no comparison. The Hotel Grandezza was fantastic and well worth the money whereas this one isn't.
