After reading all the glowing reviews, I knew this was the place for me to stay after a long day in Bryan. And it certainly was simply wonderful, even better than my expectations. From the first phone call, I felt welcomed and charmed by Denise and Bob's friendliness and hospitality. They have made the most of the home's lovely architecture with their restoration work and decorative touches. The mattress was superb and I got a great night's sleep, which is often difficult when I travel. I'm still raving about the terrific breakfast that Denise prepared. I will definitely choose Milton Parker Home the next time I stay in Bryan.

We had the most delightful stay at the Milton Parker Home Bed and Breakfast! The house (that felt like a home), the rooms, the comfortable beds - all immaculate and so beautifully decorated! The owners are the most wonderful hosts, and the breakfast was outstanding! Denise tailored every meal to our specific needs (lactose intolerance, our 9-year-old going to their Rugby tournament, everything was delicious and thoughtful!...). I can't say enough of this MAGICAL place!

An absolutely lovely inn close to downtown Bryan and an easy drive to campus! Denise and Bob are wonderful hosts in every way, and we fell in love with Echo and Booker! The breakfast was scrumptious and the rooms are as beautiful as they are comfortable. We’ll be back!

I had the loveliest stay at the Milton Parker Home Bed and Breakfast in Bryan, Texas. I was in the area visiting friends, and this grand Victorian was my home away from home. Every detail of the place was stunning, and my bedroom was beautifully decorated, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The owners, Denise and Bob, were very gracious and ensured that every moment of my stay was enjoyable. The breakfast Denise prepared was phenomenal with chocolate zucchini bread, goat cheese and cherry tomato frittata, bacon, avocado, and peach pie French toast! I cannot wait to return to this gorgeous bed and breakfast.

The Milton-Parker House is a treasure, and Denise and Bob Barbier are consummate hosts! We so enjoyed escaping from a busy hotel, lots of people, and a huge parking lot or garage to a beautiful historic home situated on four lush, green acres with lovely gardens and gathering places. As we entered the wrought iron gate, we were greeted by beds of flowers, an attractive brick walkway, and inviting porches, upstairs and down. Elaborate double doors opened to a wide entry hall with an imposing staircase and high ceilings. It was obvious that this was a special home with an important history. We enjoyed cocktails in a magnificent living room with a beautiful fireplace, expansive windows, and lovely antique pieces. Later in the weekend, we enjoyed catching up on sports in the adjacent sitting room with comfortable sofas and the latest large scale TV. Our room was beautifully decorated with a fireplace and mantle, large sofa, armoire and other charming antiques, and a wonderful wrought iron bed with an amazingly comfortable mattress and sumptuous linens. The room was very private and especially clean The large bath was recently remodeled yet it retained some embroidered linens and a stained glass window that made it particularly charming. The fabulous, gourmet breakfast served on Parker family china in the large dining room with a huge window providing a view of the patio and garden was one of our favorite experience on the trip! The sweet potato pancakes with orange butter and spicy pecans were fabulous and that is just the beginning! We can't wait to order the "Tea Sip" spiced teas and special coffees. If you ask a few questions or you follow Denise and Bob into their to-die-for kitchen, you might get some cooking tips or recipes! We enjoyed a tour of the cottage which was SO attractive with a great room and full kitchen, 4 bedrooms, two full baths plus access to the whole garden and the barbeque grilling area. What a wonderful gathering place! Our family will definitely return, and we recommend it to all for a relaxing getaway, football weekends, reunions, or special events.

Denise and Bob are great Hosts. Rain moved our son’s wedding shower indoors from their back yard. They were very accommodating with the change and helped us set up. We stayed in the cottage and made it our home base for all our kids. Great experience. If you like history and really neat historic homes, this place is a must. Bob and Denise have done a great job restoring this beauty.

What an amazing time we had staying in the cottage behind the mansion! The cottage slept our family and friends very comfortably in the four bedrooms (there were 8 of us). The attention to detail in the decor was noticeable. We felt right at home! Denise and Bob did an amazing job on the remodel and shared great stories on the history of the property. We traveled in for the Bryan Art Show & Texas A&M Family Weekend. The home is a 10-minute walk to downtown Bryan which was perfect for us to walk to with our 2-year old grandson in his stroller. It was like taking a step back in time! Our grandson loved playing with Denise and Bob's two very well trained dogs, Booker & Echo. He also loved watching the trains go by. Our Aggie daughter came by with her friends and enjoyed a lovely weekend with us sitting by the fire-pit. Denise and Bob welcomed our additional guest visitors with open arms. They stocked the cottage with fresh eggs, milk, orange juice, yogurt, fruit and homemade chocolate zucchini muffins! We thought that was so thoughtful! They even brought over a toy lawn mower for our grandson to play with! We purchased groceries and used the well appointed kitchen to cook a big Sunday morning breakfast that we took outside to eat on the sprawling lawn. The mattresses were super comfortable and the cottage was very clean. Denise and Bob were always available if we needed anything and responded to us very quickly. The bathrooms were stocked with fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We just loved our stay here and look forward to coming back again! The service was excellent, the rooms were spacious, we were close to downtown Bryan, restaurants and the grocery store. We loved the warm feeling of the cottage the most!

From our first contact via email to our final goodbye, Denise and Bob, welcomed us with gracious, exceptional hospitality, personalizing our trip with amazing touches. Breakfasts were elegant, beautiful and delicious! We felt like royalty all weekend with their sublime treatment - from offering boutique tea selections, crafted coffee, and exquisite food presentation and gourmet breakfasts, to the Becker Vineyard bath salts, cold drinking water, personal robes, gorgeous antiques and decor and a comfortable four-poster bed in our room, we LOVED every minute of our time at MPH. We especially enjoyed hot baths in the oversized claw-foot tub! As an added bonus, the hosts built a fire in their fire-pit one night and sat outside with us and other guests sharing, laughing and enjoying the beautiful evening. They even asked what wine we preferred and placed a specific bottle for us in the shared adult beverage refrigerator in the parlor. They love Aggies and welcomed our two Aggies to the property for breakfast each morning (for a nominal fee - and well worth it!!) and to explore the grounds, sit on the porch rocking chairs and just to spend time with us at their beautiful, historic home during A&M's Parent's Weekend. We highly recommend staying with Denise and Bob! Their home is spectacular! You'll leave feeling refreshed and pampered, and you'll definitely add new friends to your list to boot! We'll return as often as possible and hope you will, too!
