Stayed there last weekend for our anniversary. Bob & Denise think of everything you will need for a home away from home experience. The room was beautifully furnished (and spotless), the breakfast was out of this world delicious and the personal attention was truly cherished. You will feel like you are staying with friends and their lovely dog, Booker. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

The Milton-Parker House is a treasure, and Denise and Bob Barbier are consummate hosts! We so enjoyed escaping from a busy hotel, lots of people, and a huge parking lot or garage to a beautiful historic home situated on four lush, green acres with lovely gardens and gathering places.
As we entered the wrought iron gate, we were greeted by beds of flowers, an attractive brick walkway, and inviting porches, upstairs and down. Elaborate double doors opened to a wide entry hall with an imposing staircase and high ceilings. It was obvious that this was a special home with an important history.
We enjoyed cocktails in a magnificent living room with a beautiful fireplace, expansive windows, and lovely antique pieces. Later in the weekend, we enjoyed catching up on sports in the adjacent sitting room with comfortable sofas and the latest large scale TV.
Our room was beautifully decorated with a fireplace and mantle, large sofa, armoire and other charming antiques, and a wonderful wrought iron bed with an amazingly comfortable mattress and sumptuous linens. The room was very private and especially clean The large bath was recently remodeled yet it retained some embroidered linens and a stained glass window that made it particularly charming.
The fabulous, gourmet breakfast served on Parker family china in the large dining room with a huge window providing a view of the patio and garden was one of our favorite experience on the trip! The sweet potato pancakes with orange butter and spicy pecans were fabulous and that is just the beginning! We can't wait to order the "Tea Sip" spiced teas and special coffees. If you ask a few questions or you follow Denise and Bob into their to-die-for kitchen, you might get some cooking tips or recipes!
We enjoyed a tour of the cottage which was SO attractive with a great room and full kitchen, 4 bedrooms, two full baths plus access to the whole garden and the barbeque grilling area. What a wonderful gathering place!
Our family will definitely return, and we recommend it to all for a relaxing getaway, football weekends, reunions, or special events.

I had the pleasure of spending two nights at The Milton Parker Home B&B. Denise and Bob are lovely, accommodating hosts providing snacks and beverages in the evening and superb advice about the best local restaurants for meals. My room, “Winnie”, was quiet and spacious and the bed was simply delicious with soft sheets, plenty of blankets and comfortable pillows. I slept well, and I typically don’t sleep well when I travel. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe and secure. The bathroom was similarly well appointed, with plenty of towels and a soft robe.

Breakfast deserves a separate paragraph. Denise listened to my preferences (that I shared when making my reservation) and prepared lovely meals that fortified me for my busy days of meetings. They also have a wide variety of loose leaf tea, which is a treat.

The Milton Parker is close to downtown Bryan, an easy walk to explore the stores/restaurants to support local businesses. College Station is a quick drive down the road.

I can’t wait to return!!

What an amazing time we had staying in the cottage behind the mansion! The cottage slept our family and friends very comfortably in the four bedrooms (there were 8 of us). The attention to detail in the decor was noticeable. We felt right at home! Denise and Bob did an amazing job on the remodel and shared great stories on the history of the property. We traveled in for the Bryan Art Show & Texas A&M Family Weekend. The home is a 10-minute walk to downtown Bryan which was perfect for us to walk to with our 2-year old grandson in his stroller. It was like taking a step back in time! Our grandson loved playing with Denise and Bob's two very well trained dogs, Booker & Echo. He also loved watching the trains go by. Our Aggie daughter came by with her friends and enjoyed a lovely weekend with us sitting by the fire-pit. Denise and Bob welcomed our additional guest visitors with open arms. They stocked the cottage with fresh eggs, milk, orange juice, yogurt, fruit and homemade chocolate zucchini muffins! We thought that was so thoughtful! They even brought over a toy lawn mower for our grandson to play with! We purchased groceries and used the well appointed kitchen to cook a big Sunday morning breakfast that we took outside to eat on the sprawling lawn. The mattresses were super comfortable and the cottage was very clean. Denise and Bob were always available if we needed anything and responded to us very quickly. The bathrooms were stocked with fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We just loved our stay here and look forward to coming back again! The service was excellent, the rooms were spacious, we were close to downtown Bryan, restaurants and the grocery store. We loved the warm feeling of the cottage the most!

I had the loveliest stay at the Milton Parker Home Bed and Breakfast in Bryan, Texas. I was in the area visiting friends, and this grand Victorian was my home away from home. Every detail of the place was stunning, and my bedroom was beautifully decorated, spacious, and extremely comfortable.

The owners, Denise and Bob, were very gracious and ensured that every moment of my stay was enjoyable. The breakfast Denise prepared was phenomenal with chocolate zucchini bread, goat cheese and cherry tomato frittata, bacon, avocado, and peach pie French toast!

I cannot wait to return to this gorgeous bed and breakfast.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Denise and Bob were wonderful hosts for our family/friend gathering for an Aggie weekend. We rented the cottage as well as rooms in the main house. The cottage was adorable and had everything we could possibly need. The beds were fabulous. As everyone gathered our first morning there, everyone kept talking about how awesome the sheets were!! We were able to gather outside in the patio area with friends and family and ate together practicing safe distancing. It was wonderful and Denise and Bob even ordered perfect Fall weather for us!! I highly recommend Milton Parker House whenever you are in the Bryan or College Station area. We cannot wait to go back!

Visited the area with my wife who was attending classes for Dallas Theological Seminary at a church nearby. She found the Milton Parker Estate & we decided to book a stay. We are so glad we did! The grounds are immaculately manicured, the home is stunning on the outside & even more breathtaking on the inside. The dining room is fabulous, as well as the parlor & common area. The home is absolutely the cleanest place we have ever stayed at, well appointed & our room was large & luxe! We stayed in the Mary Parker room with an unbelievably comfortable bed & a bathroom with a generous amount of space & a shower that was amazing.

The food was incredible. Because of the class my wife was attending, we only were able to have breakfast 2 of the days, but what incredible breakfasts they were! Day 1 was an incredible 3 egg omelet with a generous helping of bacon & I was actually given poached pears with a balsamic reduction. Delicious! Day 2 was a roasted vegetable frittata with bacon & plenty of coffee. Exquisite! Denise & Bob offered to make us breakfast earlier if we wanted, but we had to leave at 7am & didn't want to make them get up that early.

The amazing thing: they were more than accommodating to dietary needs. They gave us low-carb options for diabetic traveling & another guest was vegan & again, they were beyond accommodating.

Every evening, we would bring reading material down & sit in the common area. It was an absolute pleasure sitting, reading & chatting with Denise & Bob when they were around. It honestly felt like visiting family or friends you had known for years. They opened up their home & hearts to us & it was an amazing experience.

Did I mention that they have the most precious dogs possible? Booker took a liking to my wife & Echo took a real liking to me. Just adorable!

We cannot give enough accolades or recommendations to Denise & Bob with what they have done with the Milton Parker Estate. It is simply a must stay if you are in the Bryan, Texas area. They were warm, friendly, cordial & service minded. The home is beautiful & well-appointed. The food was amazing & the entire experience is one we will always remember.

In Fall, we are returning to Bryan for another visit & we definitely are looking forward to staying at the Milton Parker Estate once more. Thank you for making our stay a most wonderful experience!

House was beautiful, breakfasts were delicious! Hosts were so accommodating to us, even getting us an extra room added, at 11:00 at night! My daughter and I booked here, we were attending a wedding. My husband was able to come in at the last minute. Bob and Denise were so sweet and didn’t hesitate, welcoming my husband in the middle of the night. We cannot wait to visit here again!

Recently we enjoyed a weekend at the Milton Parker Estate. We had a large room with a very comfortable bed. The room was light and bright with floor to ceiling windows. The windows had thick curtains that went floor to ceiling to close if you wanted to shut out the light and sleep late. Everything was very clean and comfortable. There were two nice seating areas to visit with friends. The house is lovely and recently repainted and sparkles like a gem on the very large lot. The breakfast was excellent. A wide selection of foods and everything was yummy. Denise and Bob are very friendly and treat you like family.

We had the privilege of staying at the Milton Parker B&B for a Fightin’ Texas Aggie weekend and it did not disappoint! We have stayed in many B&B’s over the years and this is TRULY one of the BEST! The home is gorgeous, the accommodations are great (each room has its own bathroom) and the history is intriguing. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the beautiful dining room prepared by Bob and Denise themselves and we enjoyed the great conversations we had with them during our visit. Honestly, they were the most enjoyable owners of a B&B we’ve ever met! We are looking forward to another visit and seeing what new things or paint colors ;) they have picked for their home. You cannot go wrong staying at the Milton Parker home!

Thank you so much for your kind words! Believe it or not, the painting project is still on-going...well, it's mostly repairing rotted exterior wood and sanding at this point. Hopefully the new paint colors will be applied in the next 3 weeks. The paint color decision has been excruciating! Can't wait for you to return and give us your opinion.

Do you have a room that is handicap friendly with no stairs?
Answer from Milton Parker H

Howdy Ronald, This wonderful historic home unfortunately is not handicap friendly. Although we have one room on the first floor, the home sits on piers and beams for the foundation and as a result is 4 steps above the grade. Thank you for asking!
