This is the creepiest looking place on the inside with hideous thrift store furniture. No amenities to speak of. 1 thin nasty looking towel per person. Dark dingy fabrics & grotesque light fixtures. For the price.....are you kidding ? The restaurant at Messina Hoff is nice & wine tasting is fun. Staff is attractive but do not stay there.
This is a very interesting bed and breakfast located at the Messinahof Winery. We spent two nights here. Each room (there are 11) is named and has a theme. We were in the Napoleon and Josephine room, which is a large corner room on the ground floor with lots of windows and a huge bathroom with a separate shower and a large jetted tub. There is a coffee pot and refrigerator in each room and we were given two bottles of water and two juice as well as two pieces of delicious dark chocolate. We were warmly greeted by Jean, the lady who manages the inn. The rooms on the second floor have a balcony to sit on. There is no elevator. Breakfast was fruit, cheese, yogurt, granola, muffins and a hot dish. We had French toast one morning that was yummy and an egg dish the next day. There was coffee, tea and juice also. Included were a tour of the winery with sampling and a wine and cheese tasting. We had a very nice time.…
Stayed in the Villa for Wine Premiere at Messina Hof. It was nice that some of our friends we have met at the winery were staying there also. The rooms are beautifully decorated with antiques and is beautiful!! I love being able to sit on the porch and relax with some nice wine in the evening and relax!! The breakfast is always very good as well! Nice visit and so relaxing!!
This place is absolutely gorgeous, and the rooms are clean and tidy. The breakfast is AMAZING. You can get anything from muffins to eggs and bacon. In our room (Romeo & Juliet), there was a mini-fridge with complementary juice and water, and bathrobes! The bathroom and room were spacious and the bed super comfy (the king bed is firm, and the roll-away is squishy). I can’t wait to come back!!!
This was a great place to stay. We stayed in the Thomas Jefferson room, the antique furniture was so cool. The room was big and very clean. I enjoyed the semi-firm and comfortable mattress. We sat out on the balcony every evening. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The ladies serving breakfast were very nice and friendly so much that my partner invited one to sit at the table and chat. You don't have a menu to pick your breakfast as they have a different cooked item every morning. Our first breakfast was cream cheese filled crapes and bacon, and the second breakfast was eggs and sausage. But they have yogurt and granola, lots of fruit, cream of wheat or grits, and hot muffins waiting for your pleasure so you will have plenty. I liked it this way better than picking out something and then wishing I had something else. You get tickets to go on a wine tour. That was not only informative but was a blast. The guy that gave us the tour was so funny. He showed us how "Twirling" wine in your mouth increases flavor. And you get a wine and cheese tasting/pairing in the wine bar. They are so informative on their wines. You can tell they all love their jobs. We will return for future great visits. Its great having a wine bar on the premises. Don't forget to feed the turtles...…
We stayed one night at this bed and breakfast. It was nice, the rooms were each unique and clean. The breakfast was included but not much to chose from as far as food. The mimosas were Great! Overall, it was a great experience!!
Totally enjoyed our stay at the Villa Had a great tour of the winery included in the room fee as well as a wine tasting and cheese and cracker plate. Room was furnished is lovely period theme - nice hot breakfast and Jean made us feel welcome. Nice touches of chocolate truffles on arrival in the room! Villa is not to far from all The happenings of College Station. Staff at the winery were friendly and knowledgeable!
Staff is incredible charmed and service is great. The room was very comfortable, a lot of space, including a small balcony. The room has a coffemaker which for us was really appreciated. Bathroom is wide, has a shower and bathtub. Breakfast was great with mimosas and lots of frutis and after that, hot food like french toast and so. Best of all, the tasting room and the wine bar are beside the villa, so you only has to walk a to steps to get there!
This place was such a surprise. We were there for two night and the staff were awesome! the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfasts were tasks, well prepared and service was homely and yet professional. Would return in a heartbeat!
My husband and I needed to get away for a few days from our hectic lives. The Villa Bed and Breakfast proved be an excellent choice for us. The B&B rate includes Champagne Breakfast, wine and cheese reception in the evening and a tour and tasting at the winery. The grounds are beautiful and quiet. The lodging is clean, with a large room and bathroom that included complimentary drinks and robes. The only slight issue with our visit was that a company had booked our all the remaining rooms and had a 6 am start so it was a little noisy early in the morning. Apart from that it was a perfect visit and we will be returning again when we need to escape our normal routine.
