This B&B is located close to downtown. The house and rooms are beautiful and has every amenity that you could want. The inn keepers are accommodating , helpful and available when you need them. The breakfast is to die for. The rooms are large and the bed are comfortable. I would highly recommend it.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We are very close to the square in downtown, and all of the great restaurants, fantastic shopping and amazing entertainment venues that downtown Brenham offers. We do enjoy making breakfast for our guests on the weekends! During the week we offer what we call a gourmet continental breakfast that our guests can enjoy at any time! Thank you again! We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

My wife and I stayed here for a short getaway from the city and we loved it! The rooms were nice and well equipped with t.v., cable, music, toiletries, robes, and a reading corner in the common area along with a guitar and piano for people to play/enjoy. The house is an old house with modern decorations. There is a coffee setup for guests to enjoy throughout their stay along with light snacks. The hosts were super nice and informative about what is going on in the city and suggested great things to while we were staying.

Thank you very much foryour kind words! Suzy, my wife and business partner, is the intellect behind our Fresh Approach to the bed and breakfast experience in Brenham. Contemporary styling coupled with century old architecture sets Main Street House apart from the rest. The "little touches" are actually quite big, as you can see. But as great as the Main Street House is, we understand that folks stay with us to visit Brenham, and experience all the great entertainment, shopping and dining historic downtown Brenham has to offer. We try very hard to be aware of what's going on any particular day, and communicate the day's possibilities to our guests. There is usually quite a lot! Many thanks, once again, for staying with us. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

My husband and I were the winning bidders at a gala for a "weekend in Brenham" and the package included a two-night stay at the Main Street House. I am so glad we stayed there! Suzy and Keith were absolutely delightful from the moment I contacted them to make the reservation. We arrived and Suzy was there to greet us and show us to our beautiful, bright, well appointed room in this fabulous 1920s house. Everything was perfect for a romantic getaway and even my husband, who travels all around the world for his work, was thoroughly impressed. The bed was incredibly comfortable and there were a lot of thoughtful touches in the room, such as soft bathrobes, mini toiletries, and a high definition television with Netflix so we could watch movies in the evening. I cannot say enough about this lovely bed & breakfast. It is also walking distance from all the restaurants and shops in town, and Suzy was happy to give us advice on where to go, eat, find nightlife, etc. Breakfast was delicious and there were snacks out for us to nibble on in-between meals too. All in all, this place is an A+ from us!! We will definitely be back.

We're so glad you enjoyed your visit to Brenham, and your stay with us at Main Street House! You touched upon many aspects of our "Fresh Approach" to the bed and breakfast experience in Brenham: contemporary style, exemplary comfort. Suzy, my wife, business partner and interior designer of Main Street House, has taught me the true value of paying attention to the details, and things that many people recognize as "small things". But these small things are, in fact, very big. Within easy walking distance of all the great restaurants, shopping and entertainment venues of historic downtown Brenham, the location of Main Street House makes the experience all the more unique! You can park your car and not have to get back in it all weekend if you wish. Thank you again! We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

Location close to downtown, excellent breakfast, modern rooms, comfortable cozy beds, larger than normal TV's but didn't use because the chairs were so comfortable we read during the evening. Very quiet rooms. Will be back.

Thank you so much for your kind words! It's interesting... some folks worry about the noise they will hear because Main Street House is, of course, on Main Street. It's going to be busy, with many cars and trucks speeding by, and it's going to be loud. As you discovered, the Main Street House is very quiet inside! I wish we could take some credit for it, but the facts are these: there are two reasons for the quiet inside Main Street House: 1) The house was built exceptionally well, even for the era in which it was constructed; and 2) We're in Brenham!! The only times that Main Street is truly busy is when we have a parade becasue we are on the parade route. So, the best place to watch the any of our parades (Maifest, Homecoming, Juneteenth, Washington County Fair Opening, or Christmas Lighted Parade - I might have forgotten one!) is right from the front porch of Main Street House! Once again, many thanks! We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

We just spent two very pleasant nights at this Inn. The hospitality and accommodations were perfectly suited to our occasion, a wedding anniversary. The property itself was clean, attractive, and interesting. We had one of two downstairs rooms, which was spacious and nicely appointed. The common areas of the house were graciously furnished. Interestingly, most of the furnishings were contemporary, while the house dates to the 1920s, but it all worked. The highlight of the stay was having the chance to meet the very charming owners, who also operate a larger inn nearby. We received a text before arrival asking us when we expected to be there, and when we arrived Keith was waiting for us. He showed us around the inn, made us aware of what was available to us, and gave us a history of the house. He also offered a number of dining suggestions, several of which we took and were happy we did. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom functional, and we had both privacy and an opportunity to visit with other guests. The kitchen was fully equipped if we chose to prepare something, and there was a great variety of snacks and breakfast items available. On Saturday morning Susie, the other owner, was on site early to prepare a delicious breakfast along with great conversation. Bottom line - this is what a B&B experience should be: Nice accommodations, great food, and top drawer hospitality. One consideration - and we were forewarned: parking is behind the inn, accessible through a narrow drive. If you're driving a large vehicle you may want to park on Main St in front of the Inn. We did, and it was much more convenient.

Thank you so much for your kind words! Our goals when we were dreaming up the Main Street House were to provide something different than what was available in Brenham: a contemporary bed and breakfast, without detracting from the near century old architecture. Suzy was the designer, and I think she nailed it! We wanted to provide a "Fresh Approach" to the usual B&B experience. I love your description: "...top drawer hospitality." That is indeed our goal. Again, many thanks! We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
