If you like riding in the back of a pickup with various tools and trash while be accompanied by 9 or 10 other hunters with guns in tow, this is the place for you. If you would like feel the thrill of cheating death by almost falling off of the back of a pickup as the driver speeds along at... More

I love this place for its uniqueness! Fort Clark Springs is a gated community located in the middle of nowhere south Texas with an incredible spring-fed swimming pool, wildlife galore, and an old fort to boot. It is a rough and rugged oasis that is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. The hotel itself is old... More

Let's start with carpet missing, mold growing, towels paper thin, door knobs falling off curtains falling ...what a shame. But no other place to stay unless you go to del rio which you should. Someone should definitely check major health code violations here....and 75 dollars a night are you kidding me...Fix the place! Outdate broken down ...rustic is one thing but... More

It was a nice room for the price, clean, nothing special. Lots of things to do inside fort. Liked the museum and the kids loved the pool. Great place for a reunion. Some stayed at the RV park, it was very nice.

Folks could not have been nicer and more helpful. Very interesting surroundings and clean rooms. Six people in our group, three rooms, two in each room. Everyone had a good experience and would do it again.

It's tough to rate, because it is one of the coolest places you can go from a historical standpoint. It is an actual old fort, with a history of renowned Generals, a natural springs pool, a golf course and historical buildings, including an old theatre. There are hundreds of deer, bird watching, etc. From that standpoint it is excellent. The... More

The rooms are converted barracks from the days when Fort Clark was a cavalry base. Historic, quiet, pleasant. We stayed in a two bed rood, small but comfortable. Clean rooms, linen, towels comfy bed and plenty of hot water. Free wi-fi, AC/Heater, TV, natural spring feed swimming pool. No fridge, micro or coffee in room, however for $55, this is... More

My wife and I stayed one night at this motel. The motel rooms are located in an old converted barracks that once housed Buffalo Soldiers. Our room was very clean, comfortable in size but very basic. Essentially, it was a room with a full bathroom. It did not have any Kleenex, coffee making facilities, radio or a telephone. It did... More

We recently stayed here and overall it was a very pleasant stay. This is more of a "motel" amid a gated community. We truly enjoyed it despite the cold weather. It seems like it is a fun place to stay during the warm months due to its many outdoor recreational offerings. Pros: The fort is very scenic and historical. Plenty... More

This is one of the coolest places I've stayed in a long time. If you're tired of the typical, boring motel, this is a great option. The neat, clean rooms that make up this 'motel' are located in the converted barracks of historic Fort Clark. The internet is good, and everything is well maintained. No coffee, shampoo, or facial tissues... More
