I was disappointed and expected more. When you hear the word resort, you think about lots of nice amenities and comforts. The place was adequate at best. Rooms are old and they feel/smell old. Restaurant menu is very limited and the food was bland. Staff was friendly. But unless you are a golf enthusiast, you have limited options on activities and entertainment. I’ve been to other/better resorts. I won’t be going back. Sorry 😞

Beautiful location but the facility/rooms leaves a lot to be desired. I would not come back because of this. Here's a list of our issues so far: > One sink without hot water. Not able to fix, no part available. > Shower hot water barely warm. > No Shampoos but we have 4 Conditioners. > Large gaps in door jab to outside. > Ceiling panels coming undone and separating. > Housekeeping cleaning rag left laying on the bathroom sink. > I actually hold housekeeping responsible for everything except the ceiling. When they clean you'd think they'd notice no hot water or barely warm water and initiate a maintenance request. The good things I will say: > The staff are all awesome. > The food so far has been very good. > The golf course was phenomenal and a very interesting test of golf.

Both the adult pool and the family pool had algae all over the sides, I pointed it out to two staff members on separate days Mom and nothing was done, finally on our last day I spoke to the manager and told her about the situation and it was finally rectified by Thursday evening. The lodge wasn’t very full when we arrived, so they had reduced staff, the bartender closed the pool bar at 5:00 even though the pool was open until 11. We had a similar situation on the golf course. Due to Covid, they had removed the coolers on the course, I played an afternoon round with a 1:00pm tee-off, the cart girl took off early and we never saw her again after the 7th hole. It was 100 degrees outside and no water on the course and no cart girl The bathroom showed considerable wear and tear. The wallpaper was pealing in numerous places, a repair had been made to the ceiling and when painting, they painted a 6” swip across the wallpaper border at the ceiling. In order to close the bathroom, you had to lift it up because the screws in the hinge were loose. The golf course itself is very nice and anything attached to the clubhouse was also very nice.

Pros:staff and food Cons: Rooms were very outdated and noisy! We could not sleep and very hot! Had to shut off water to toilet because it ran non stop and so loud. Could not adjust the A/C. We paid for late check out but no need. We could not leave fast enough

The views of the Hill country shine at Tapatio Springs! What a beautiful view of the Hill country from all around, as it is nestled in a secluded valley about 10 minutes outside of Boerne. As you read in some reviews, the rooms are a bit dated, but they were super clean and well maintained. Everything was in working order and the grounds were well taken care of. The clubhouse area and La Cascada looked brand new and were so nice. Food at the restaurant was excellent and you could also order food to go if you wanted to grab it and head back to your room. I loved that they had an adult pool separated from the family pool if you just wanted a quiet and relaxing swim. And be sure to set an appointment for the salt cave! That was definitely a highlight! Most of all the staff was super friendly and helpful. We had two issues of getting items needed from housekeeping, but since they don't do housekeeping every day, that's to be expected. Overall, we would definitely return. And if you play golf, you will be in heaven!
