I can not say enough wonderful things about Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort!! Our daughter and son-in-law got married at Tapatio Springs the first weekend of April, 2022. They were looking for a comfortable family-oriented place where all of our out-of-town family & friends could be together and feel at home. That is exactly what we had! During their downtime, our guests hiked, swam, played cornhole and relaxed at the lounge listening to live music! We had all events right on site; a Welcome Reception on Friday evening at Oak Pavilion, an absolutely gorgeous Wedding Ceremony at Frederick's Creek then the Cocktail Hour and Reception on the Bluffs Lawn. We wound up the weekend with a Brunch in the Bluffs Event Center. Jessie was absolutely wonderful! She helped us so much thought all of the planning from the very beginning! We would not have had a weekend like we did without her! The staff (reception, housekeeping, food management, wait and bar tending staff) were all amazing. We wanted for nothing! In fact, they provided things we didn't even know we needed!! All were always ready to help! They were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food for each event was delicious! All of our guests raved about the food!! We would highly recommend Tapatio Springs Resort for any event!!

We visited Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort last weekend and had a amazing experience. We had 2 couples in our party - we golfed, ate in the restaurant, listened to live music on the Patio, and enjoyed the numerous firepits in the evening. We were more than satisfied with our first "empty nester" weekend in a few years. During the day, it was obvious there were many families enjoying Spring Break - but it did not feel overly crowded. Highly recommend enjoying a meal on the patio, with live music and a roaring fire. Don't miss the margarita pizza in La Cascada Restaurant! The golf was gorgeous - the course is set up for many levels - front tee boxes only have a few carrys. We were able to enjoy the rounds we played with all different skill levels. The perfect ending to the evening was enjoying s'mores by the fire pit. The entire weekend was a perfect combination of relaxation, adult time, golf, and beautiful scenery. Highly recommend the resort.

Room 315. VERY OLD! Seems like only the carpet and bed have been updated in decades. This really doesn't matter because the people working there are GREAT! Cameron at the Pool Bar is great and works very hard. Andy in Maintenance was very helpful and the cleaning staff was terrific.

We were staying in Boerne and ate dinner at the Tapatio Restaurant. The Building is beautifully updated and very nice views from the dining tables. Our waitress was young, pleasant and polite. The restaurant was not full, it was early on a Sunday evening. The wait time for our food was much too long. When it finally arrived, my wife and I were very disappointed with the presentation on the food. But, more importantly, the food was not tasty and of very poor quality! Attractive Resort buildings, and the staff were very pleasant, but the food was terrible and not inexpensive. Due to this experience, and reading reviews of the hotel rooms, we will not return to stay or to dine.

We stayed at Tapatio Springs Resort for a week over the Christmas holiday. The location is stunning and sets you up perfectly for numerous day trips throughout Hill Country, San Antonio, Fredericksburg etc. If we were golfers we would have enjoyed the course.. as it was we loved hiking around! Restaurant/bar offers great service with something for everyone on the menu.. all very fresh and nicely prepared. The room (we had King suite) was more the arrangement of an efficiency apartment - one really large room with an area for sofa and chairs.. another nook for table and chairs.. etc. PLENTY of space! There was a mini-fridge and coffee maker but we had to request a microwave. It is clear the room had been last renovated perhaps in the 1990's or thereabouts and could use some up-dating. We were on second floor - no elevators - tiled stairs were no problem for us but become slick if wet!! Everyone we met was friendly and many families were there.. along with a few pups!

The location is beautiful. The lobby and restaurant area is gorgeous. The STAFF & housekeeping people are very friendly. The bedroom area in the room is good. The bathroom however is very 80’s and needs to be brought up to date like the rest of the room. The wall borders in the bathroom don’t match with the present decor. The lights on the room balcony were burned out.

For sure this is only a three star resort. Rooms are outdated and maintenance around entrances and stairways to rooms is lacking. Clubhouse is far superior, food and service is good, every young person who waited on us was very attentive and professional. We did look forward to listening to the live music on Saturday evening before our dinner reservation. However that was not possible because we were told all the tables were booked (even though 8 tables were free at the time we wanted to enjoy one cocktail). We were moved to the bar which lacks ambience and atmosphere (no music at all) so not the start to our evening that we had looked forward to. We did consider moving to the patio (at least there you could hear the music) however the whole patio was covered in reservation signs, what made this further confusing was that throughout the whole evening nobody turned up, we suspected it might have been reserved by the wedding party ongoing that evening. I just don’t think they prioritize their resort guest experience, we stayed two nights and our room wasn’t serviced. Advertising live music when only a limited number people can avail themselves of that experience if they have pre booked outside tables is misleading.

You get what you pay for. The grounds are really nice and the staff are lovely but the rooms are terribly dated and not well maintained. My room had a damp smell and feel, the shade on one lamp was damaged, a chair was damaged and several spots has chipped or pealing paint. If you are ok with a not so great room, proceed but do so with caution.

I was disappointed and expected more. When you hear the word resort, you think about lots of nice amenities and comforts. The place was adequate at best. Rooms are old and they feel/smell old. Restaurant menu is very limited and the food was bland. Staff was friendly. But unless you are a golf enthusiast, you have limited options on activities and entertainment. I’ve been to other/better resorts. I won’t be going back. Sorry 😞

Beautiful location but the facility/rooms leaves a lot to be desired. I would not come back because of this. Here's a list of our issues so far: > One sink without hot water. Not able to fix, no part available. > Shower hot water barely warm. > No Shampoos but we have 4 Conditioners. > Large gaps in door jab to outside. > Ceiling panels coming undone and separating. > Housekeeping cleaning rag left laying on the bathroom sink. > I actually hold housekeeping responsible for everything except the ceiling. When they clean you'd think they'd notice no hot water or barely warm water and initiate a maintenance request. The good things I will say: > The staff are all awesome. > The food so far has been very good. > The golf course was phenomenal and a very interesting test of golf.
