Having stopped at this restaurant last year on the way to Corpus, we were looking forward to this return visit as the service and food were very enjoyable in the quaint little place. When we arrived on Friday at 12:40 during lunch time which lasts till 2:00 pm we found that the only food on the buffet line were a...

We heard about the place and decided to stop by for breakfast and see if we'd like to stay overnight on our way to South Padre. Young waitress was RUDE even though we tried to get her to smile, she remained unsmiling....we were never greeted she just plopped menus in front of us and walked away...Also, they only take cash...

This review is for the Café!!! As I have yet have not stayed at the Hotel but understand its a fun time. Now the What a treat to enter through doors of an establishment as this, come hungry and willing to do without all the fuss, just belly up to the Old Stoves which serve as the buffet counter, find...

All I can say is that Dennis K had it very wrong. Took my Harley for a weekend ride and decided to book a room at the Hotel Blessing. Definitely old school but that's what is to be expected. No computerized registration but lots of good conversation and a great experience. The common areas are not air conditioned and the...

It is still "fix your own plate" and you can have as much as you want. Helen greets me and my children with hugs every time. If they eat their vegies, she sometimes has candy or a balloon for them behind the counter. My husband required us to take our own plates to the kitchen when we were finished, but...

We have been frequenting this establishment since the mid 1970's. Back then, you grabbed a plate then stepped into the kitchen and filled your plate from the stove. you could make as many trips as you wanted. Now, the health department no longer allows customers to go into the kitchen and help themselves from the stove. The manager of the...

I reserved the Honeymoon Suite for President Paula Raney of The Department of Texas Beautiful King size Bed, attached Bathroom and Bath. Beautiful and she got a great breakfast next morning. Room was well worth the $70.00.

We were very disappointed by our visit for lunch at this hotel. A beautiful old building in a quiet, peaceful little town, along with some recommendations posted online had built our hopes up for a memorable. We were very disappointed. The food was very mediocre on the Friday we visited, and it was stone cold when we dished it up....

While traveling with relatives from the Houston area on January 18, 2016, my wife and I experienced the rudest restaurant service imaginable at the Blessing Hotel restaurant. The young women (had to use young women because young lady would imply some sort of refinement) clearing tables asked where we were from." I responded the other couple was from Houston and...

I stopped here for lunch after several referrals from colleagues. It is primarily a local haunt. They offer a luscious lunchtime spread complete with meatloaf, butter beans, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, green salad, potato and peach cobbler. Its serve yourself so once a waistband acknowledges you, feel free to grab a plate and head over to the stove. It's like $10
