I can't remember how many times we've stayed at Blanco County Inn, but it's not enough! I honestly hate to convince anyone else to stay here because there may not be a room for us next time, but honestly; great owners, great service, and a comfortable room deserves a great review! Clean, comfortable & a great value. The free Wi-Fi actually...

I stayed here last night. The couple that owns it, keeps it very clean and nice looking. I would say it's the best place in Blanco, TX to stay! They were very friendly and helped with where to eat and ride my bike. I would recommend this place to everyone and would definitely come back.

We stayed at the Blanco Guesthouses and were blown away by the special touches. There room was very spacious, the kitchenette fully stocked and they even provided a basket of snack options and waters in the fridge. There was a huge (two person) whirlpool tub and a luxurious shower in the large bathroom. The balcony overlooks the Blanco River and...

Really like this place. It makes you feel like you are visiting Grandma! The rooms were spotless. The beds very comfortable. The little extra touches (snacks, coffee, chips) were a nice touch. Will only stay here while in the Hill Country. This was our 2nd time to stay. Just as special the second time👍👍 Lynn

Stayed here tho do some wildflower viewing in the area with a group of motorcycle enthusiasts. Management is awesome, very friendly and accommodating. They gave us motorcycle wipe down towels to keep our rides sparkling. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Due to the rain in area we didn't get to use the fire ring in the park like...

Visited on Late March 2015. It was like coming home, as it was 2 years since we last stayed there. Deborah gave us a warm welcome, set up the key pad door lock (new since we were last there) How wonderful to have real crockery, cutlery and wine glasses, plus nibbles and cold water not many hotels provide such quality...

The owners were very friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The towels were high quality, very big, and soft. The area was quiet. The grounds were clean. There was a flat screen TV in each bedroom and in the living room. The fridge was stocked...

We stayed at the Blanco County Inn this past weekend. It was so nice and comfortable. My husband who does not like motels and hotels actually said he liked it and I quote, "It is like staying in your grandmothers extra room." I especially liked the fact it had a life size coffee pot instead of one of those little...

We were in Johnson City for the Christmas light display and wanted a place close by to spend the night. We were delighted with our choice. The room was clean and well thought out with a comfortable bed and very affordable. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. I can easily place this one on my saved list.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We let our customers decide whether they want to do nothing, or savor all the things Blanco & the Texas Hill Country have to offer. With that said we are an 80 year old motel, with rooms that have been remodeled over the last few years. All this to give our customers, and future friends, a charming "Hill Country" Experience! Being (we believe the motel was built in1932) we are 80 years old; we are the oldest lodging in Blanco County. Also, we are one of the oldest lodging establishments in the hill country. It was founded by Mary Lester as the Lester Courts when the State & Federal government was developing our state park system and when Route Number 66 was developed. No, not US Route 66, we think it was a state highway before it became US 281. So along with the road and the park here Mrs. Lester built the Lester courts. Wanting to slow down the frenzied pace of corporate life, my wife and I jumped at the chance to live in the hill country, and run a quaint little inn. As our retirement project we have had fun restoring the motel to a quaint "Boutique Motel" and meet people and new friends from all over the world. Ask us about some fresh eggs or soon our "Blanco County Honey!" ... more   less
