Stepping into this hotel is like stepping back in history. This facility, down to the smallest detail, has been restored to its 1930s glory and is a must-see for anyone who enjoys West Texas history. The entire building is filled with photos from the past, and each of the employees I encountered was happy to share different details about the...

All I can say is, "Wow!" It was a privilege to stay at this lovely hotel. This recently restored gem was a delight to explore. One can envision the many parties, weddings and celebrations which undoubtedly took place here beginning with its opening in 1930. We reserved a standard king room which far-exceeded our expectations. Our accommodations were elegant and...

Just returned to the Hotel Settles last month with my family. My review remains high. Lorie at the front desk was very helpful on a very busy Saturday night. The secret is out and the hotel was packed. Restaurant still had very good food and service to match. Rooms were very clean and and well appointed. Reasonable winter rates. Thanks...

My Mom was born in Big Springs in 1929. This was on her bucket list of places to re-visit. She loved it! Restoration was spot on, and what she remembered. Her brothers attended their high school proms in the ball room, and again, it is as she remembered. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and elegantly yet simply furnished. The bar...

This is a beautiful, restored, historic hotel in Big Spring. The hotel itself is a reason to visit Big Spring. It is definitely the place to stay in west Texas. We were greeted and assisted by very friendly and helpful staff. The room was beautifully appointed, beds were comfortable and bathroom amenities were very nice. I wish I had stayed...

Not sure why someone put all the money into restoration. Town is really forgettable with no redeeming features. Hotel is in an area of closed businesses. So a delightful surprise to walk in and see a nicely restored historic gem. Room we were assigned had not been serviced so went back down and they quickly reassigned us. Staff did not...

My husband and I decided to getaway for Thanksgiving and chose the Hotel Settles because is was only a 2 hour drive from our home and their restaurant was serving a special meal for the holiday. I have a weakness for restored historical hotels and the Settles is a true gem in the desert! To say I was surprised would...

We were in the area and decided to drive an extra 45 miles to check this place out. It was a very nice break for us. Large, clean room with a wet bar area, sitting area and nice size bath/dressing area. Love Aveda amenities. Bar and restaurant were excellent. Both our evening meal and breakfast were delicious. The bartender in...

My wife and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary here. The renovated hotel is beautiful. Our room was amazing - many windows to enjoy the west Texas sunsets. Big, beautiful bath with a jetted soaking tub and separate walk-in shower. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant in the hotel was very good.

Big Spring is a small town and in the middle of a quiet, slow moving downtown is Hotel Settles. It truly has been renovated to its glory days of the 1920s! And, there is no need to worry about going to services outside the hotel as it has a wonderful bar. The bar was busy and it has a quieter...
