This is a budget motel but needing a room for one night, it fulfilled our needs ...beds were very comfortable, place was clean and shower had lots of hot water and good pressure ...breakfast was not available due to COVID -19 concerns ...tv worked fine as did the fridge and microwave ...nice to see hardwood floor instead of carpet...easy check in and check out.. no real concerns here.. not a 5 star motel so don't expect Hilton amenities ...quiet place and a good AC made for a pleasant nights sleep
Good place to stay when visiting Bastrop on a budget. The room needed a little paint and repair, but overall was OK. I really liked the laminate flooring - it was so much cleaner than typical nasty motel carpet. I also appreciated the brick walls separating the individual rooms which offered good sound proofing and apparent firewall protection. There is a Pizza Hut and Sonic Drive-In within walking distance of the property. The DirectTV connection was good and the HD TV worked great. Wouldn't mind staying here again next time I'm in Bastrop.
I still haven't been refunded my money for two nights after I cancelled a 4-night booking. I was ripped off for another night after I only stayed there for one night. Worst experience ever. If there was an option for zero stars, I would choose it.
Nice family run motel in what seems like the middle of nowhere. We stayed here on a road trip to the crircuit of the Americas for MotoGP race. We arrived about 10pm and were greeted by a small boy who eventually got his mother after trying to check us in. We had a room right next to the laundry - very tall ceilings and an exposed brick wall. It was kind of like renting someones place. The mattresses looked new and were comfy. The bathroom was a bit run down and in need of some remodeling, but it was clean (we are not picky people). We walked around the back and there is a gas station that had beer/wine - and it was a bit sketchy. I am not sure if its the area, near the highway was just a bit unfamiliar to us - but it seemed like not a great place to walk around at night alone. To add to this bit of paranoia, our latch on our motel door was busted. It locked, but didn't have that bolt you know, so someone could just walk in. Makes me think someone kicked the door in at one point. Overall, cannot complain. No coffee in the room, but maybe that is because people stay here extended periods and they don't want to start fires or something. They had a keurig type machine in the check in office. No decaf, so nothing for me. Again, not a big deal. Would recommend to anyone passing through and on their way to the COTA for an affordable place to sleep and shower.…
I had a suite-style, roomy room. Having a leather couch in the front was kind of cool. However, the room smelled musty, and the bathroom had no fan. I just don't see how anyone can think that is a decent design decision.
