Pecan Street Inn is one of those places that feel like your grandmother's house when you were 5 years old; Spacious, welcoming, and comfortable. Built in 1903, it retains much of the original wooden trim around interior doors and walls so it has a lot of the features long gone from most hotels and B&Bs. Of course it's been modernized... I felt like I was back home in my little town back East. I love to visit home for a short time...but I couldn't live there! That's how Bastrop is. Great to visit, relax, walk, breathe. I took my boyfriend for his birthday because he loves being in the country. I need a town. So this was a good cross... More

We held our annual Planning Meeting at the Pecan Street Inn in January of 2015. Shawn and Bill were very gracious and allowed us to hold our day-long meeting in the comfort of the Inn. We brought in pot-luck lunch and got a great start to our new year!

Alpha Gamma Deltas from TCU, who went to school together in the '60's and '70's, had a reunion last weekend at the Inn. It was just like the good old days! We had so much fun in this lovely house, which looks like a sorority house. What a beautiful, comfortable setting within walking distance of great shops and restaurants! The... More

Stayed here with VERY last minute reservations. They were happy to have us, despite our last minute spontaneity! Hosts were so friendly, can tell this is something they enjoy and love doing. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast was delicious, and we had the pecan waffles we had read so much about. This is the place to stay... More

Shawn and Bill are awesome people. We stayed in the parlor with our two girls (dogs) for our 1st anniversary. The b&b has great access to both the town and the historic district of Bastrop. We will return. Blessings.

We stayed at Pecan Street Inn on March 30th to attend the semi annual Antique Shows in Round Top, Texas. Aside from the wonderful hospitality, comfy bed, and Bill's delicious breakfast, Shawn's knowledge of all things Round Top was amazing! We traveled there on the hunt for one item. Shawn gave us her recommendations on which shows would be the... More

We have stayed at the Pecan Street Inn three times in the past year, and on each occasion, we were made to feel so welcome by owners Shawn and Bill. The house itself is a Victorian-era gem, with high ceilings, gorgeous antiques and a large front parlor. We have stayed in several different rooms at the Inn, and they were... More

We had booked our room in April 2014 to stay for 2 nights in Oct 2014 and make payment in full for B and B by credit card. We paid a supplement to pay by credit card. When we arrived at 1600 after being told we could check in from 1600, the inn looked closed and empty. We hung around... More

Don't even think of staying in a boring hotel, this charming home has personality! This B&B is conveniently located close to downtown and the Colorado River. We stayed in the Master Suite which was very comfortable with a king size bed and huge bathroom. There's a little TV and good wifi. Even though there were other guests, we didn't hear... More
