First of all I want to say that we did the Dude ranch experience at Rancho Cortez vice the Fitness one. We had an AMAZING time. I know I will not be able to say enough positive stuff about this place. My husband and I went for a 2 night stay in March. I have a riding background and am...

The Fitness Ranch is different from the Dude Ranch which is different from Warrior Boot Camp. That's the first thing. For me, the idea of a Warrior Boot Camp was intriguing, and I was interested in the challenge and to see if I would still be standing at the end. The experience far exceeded my expectations in all aspects: service,...

This place exceeded my high expectations of a ranch experience for my family. Hospitality was un-real. I saw my 6yr old son transform from a Chicago city kid into a little cowboy. Good horses, good food, beautiful Texas hill country scenery. From feeding longhorns to baby goats, great equistrian instruction, campfire stories, even "cowboy fitness" bootcamp, this place has it...

We had a great time here. The cowboys took good care of everyone. Neither of us had done any horseback before, but we felt safe, and we had a great time in the wilderness. The cowboys pushed people, just enough, into doing things just ouside their comfortzone. They even had a horse for barebackriding for those of us who dared....

At Rancho Cortez we are always deeply disappointed if we haven't met your expectations. The rooms are clean and comfortable however, our ranch decor is rustic. The dining options range from BBQ to tofu manicotti with organic ingredients. We try to accommodate everyone's needs if we know in advance, and we post a sample menu online. Our fitness program is...

Our family spent 3 days and nights at Rancho Cortez over Thanksgiving-we are still talking about it, a month later! All the staff members and wranglers were most generous hosts and were experts in their fields. They were wonderful with our kids, ages 6, 9, and 12, making them feel right at home while teaching them many things about horses...

We had a wonderful time! Trail rides were great, lots of activities for kids, and the nightly campfires were a hoot! We met new friends and didn't want to leave. Food was good and filling. All in all, a very good stay.

They camp was the first all horseback riding camp I found. It's the real deal and in a week i had learned how to barrel race, met new friends, and enjoyed a great experience. I can't wait to go back :)

I stayed at Rancho Cortez from the 14th to 21st of September, I stayed under the fittness programme, hoping to get in shape and get a kick start to weight loss. The programme included all meals prepared for you and snacks, and roughly 5+ hours of exercise offered every day. From my arrival late in the evening, I was looked...

My girlfriend and I booked Rancho Cortez to try out their Fitness Program for one week. We hiked all over the nature park next door and Lost Maples State Park as well as worked out in the gym and indoor pool. From kickboxing to strength training to Zumba ... we did it all! Our accommodations were very clean and comfortable...
