we had a lovely quick getaway to BBF. dining: food is included from dinner on arrival to lunch on departure. we got a box lunch for departure day so we could get on the road and it was tasty- turkey sandwich, hummus/veggies, apple, gluten-free choc chip cookie. you could also get one of these for a hike or day around town for no extra charge assuming you don't have a seated lunch as well. there are two options for dinner- dogwood, barn. all breakfast and lunch is served at the dogwood. the menu changes for the most part each day but there are some staples that remain- fried chicken and burger for lunch, continental and griddle cakes for breakfast. in-room dining is pricey and unnecessary. we actually enjoyed the dogwood more. i've included some pics of delicious dishes. our favs were salmon, oat and quinoa bread, quinoa and vegetable salad, root veg salad. you can fill out a recipe card at the front desk or in the dining room if you like something and want them to email the recipe. if you are interested you can do the tasting menu at the barn for another $55 pp or $250 pp w wine pairings though all members of your party have to participate. service is delightful and they are attentive to dietary restrictions, preferences, allergies. for the ingredients that can't be sourced from BBF, they do try to use local farms etc. the wine list is extensive and the cellar is beautiful (downstairs at the barn). hiking: the front desk has a map of nearby hikes, trailhead near gray drake. we took the #3 preferred route which was about 10mi round trip from our room in the main house and not too difficult. the map marks where the trails are easy, mod, strenuous, or very strenuous. we also took a long walk around the property, including the farm area across the street. we enjoyed seeing the chickens, donkey, sheep etc. snacks: there's a club house next to the front desk which has pool table, fireplaces, couches, tvs, snacks (chips, pretzels, choc bar, shortbread cookie, peanut m&ms, ice cream bars). nice place to hang out. they have refillable pathwater water bottles for you to use throughout your stay instead of plastic bottles. room: we stayed in the main house and had a nice view. bathroom floors are heated. they use actual keys. they provided tasty cookies for our anniversary. and pimento cheese and crackers provided as a welcome gift. wellhouse: a short walk away you'll find the outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi, the workout room which is a nice size w solid equipment, including 2 pelotons, and the spa. we didn't participate in group classes. the sauna is closed for covid. we didn't partake in spa services. charges: you'll receive the final folio via email on the last day. all the charges are spelled out upon checkin. you obviously pay extra for alcohol, activities, tasting menu, gift shop items, etc. there's a 20% service fee; no tip is expected. service: the staff are well trained and courteous. they will consistently refer to you by the prefixes provided in your pre-arrival paperwork. they will transport you to dinner at the barn in one of the cars in their lexus fleet. sounds like they will be getting the 2021 fleet soon. the employees generally live nearby and enjoy working there. you can rent a golf cart if you like, though didn't seem necessary. they will valet your car (included) and will deliver and pickup luggage on arrival and departure.

Wow. Where do I begin...this trip was one I'll never forget! My husband and I went to Blackberry Farm for our anniversary after hearing from many friends who loved their visits. I had very high expectations coming in after so many had sung the hotel's praises. Every expectation was surpassed. The dining experience alone is reason to go to Blackberry Farm. We ate in The Barn both nights (highly recommend) which was warmly lit with a glowing fireplace and pleasantly buzzing ambiance. Our servers were very helpful in making recommendations according to our tastes, and the timing between courses was impeccable. The meals didn't drag but also felt like we had plenty of time to enjoy. During the day, we wandered the grounds and rode around on our farm-provided golf cart. There's plenty to look at and to do, from visiting the farm animals and puppies to lounging in Adirondack chairs on a dock by the pond, and I can see why people come back again and again to experience all the property has to offer. We stayed in one of the Singing Brook cottages which is set back in a wooded area. Each night the fireplace in our room was lit upon our return (which they had let us know was an option and we requested). The room had soaring ceilings and was luxuriously decorated, yet inviting and so clean. There were so many little, unexpected touches - crackers and pimento cheese made from sheep's milk on the farm waiting in our room. A team member who overheard me tell my husband I wish we'd brought a fan since we sleep with one at home - then came back to one waiting in our room. A server overhearing me say that I thought the juices looked good, then bringing my husband and me a flight of fresh juices to try. We will be talking about our Blackberry experience for many years to come and look forward to special occasions spent here!

Blackberry Farm is a fabulous experience. The grounds, service, and food are above expectations. The only activity I enjoyed was at the spa; the facial was exceptional. Morning walks included The Barn, boat house, Crane Drake cottage, vegetable gardens, and more. My trip was worth the wait--it's been on my list of places to visit for a long time.

It’s been on my bucket list, and it was worth the wait. Stayed in a 4 bedroom home and took advantage of shooting clays, farm tour, wine tasting and spa. All activities well done in a sophisticated causal way. To be clear, it is expensive but an EXPERIENCE. Food was truly exceptional after 3 days, at 5 dishes in my top 50. Service high at every turn. True farm to table concept. Golf carts a common mode of transport. If you like the outdoors, you will love it.
