This once very beautiful spot has fallen in disrepair. The grounds are no longer kept up, the once beautiful Fondue restaurant is closed, the room furnishings are now dated and not in good shape. The mattress that we slept on needed to be replaced many years ago. The comforter was even older. We heard that the facility is for sale. We will not stay here again until there is some additional investment in the facility and furnishings.

I visited on a motorcycle trip. The roads getting here were tight, but easily accessible. What an amazing place! Tucked deep into the woods above Townsend, Richmond is a hidden gem. My room was on the second floor and the view off my balcony was fantastic. Nikki was a wonderful host. The bed was luxurious, the towels thirsty, and the breakfast hot and tasty. I wil definitely be back...asap!

This was an amazing place to spend our 45th wedding anniversary. The inn was luxurious and the views were spectacular! The staff were so very accommodating and helpful! The candlelight dessert and breakfast were delicious and elegantly presented! It was wonderful!

Great setting and beautiful views. Cantlever Inn was unique and interesting. Some outdated decor in rooms. Average hospitality. Below average service. Fridge in room wasn’t working (apologies from staff but no effort to put one in from another room or give a discount), no wine available when we requested it upon arriving, even though it was advertised. There was an overall lack of attention to details. (Some dust in corners, repainting needed in bathroom, 1 ply toilet paper and coffee from McCafe’ in room felt cheap.) Housekeeping forgot to clean our room one of the two mornings. Apologies from staff but no discount offered. Evening Dessert (Kalua Creme brûlée) was delicious. Breakfast was average for a bed and breakfast. With increased attention to details and hospitality we could rate it 4 out of 5 and with updated interiors and higher quality amenities in the rooms we could have rated it 5 out of 5. We felt as if the charge for the nicer room we stayed in was more than the value, at this point in time.

My husband and I have stayed at Richmont Inn several times to celebrate our anniversary. Our latest day was a disappointment. The online booking company over booked the rooms. The inn called to notify us. However we were in charge for contacting the booking company and rescheduling our stay. The inn offered a gracious five dollar discount. The room was dusty. The bathtub had bugs in it. The deck had rat droppings in the corner. Attention to detail is lacking. The food and views or as beautiful as always but overall a very disappointing experience.
