Dated, tired room. Room smelled, we aired it out by leaving all doors open which helped. Outlets for charging phones not easy to find, no phone in room, don't know what service they use for tv but couldn't find cbs to watch a football game. Drop tile ceiling tiles were discolored. But not a lot of choices in Townsend.

They don't clean the rooms till after you leave, trash, replace toiletries, towels, nothing. Getting towels, was hit and miss. AC did not work, they fixed it, didn't make it a day. Heat at 9PM was 88, but hey, no AC. On the day before we were to leave they offered another room upstairs but no pets. We had pets so I guess we were supposed to just leave them in the car. Oh and my Mom, 82 can't go upstairs but hey, just leave her in the car too. TV did not work in one room Toilet rocked everytime you sat on it. OH and it was stopped up on day one and they unplugged it but didn't clean it. I had to do that. And take out the trash. We were told no smoking on porch or property. Found cigarette butts on patio and employees smoked all around us. Customer service is a joke. Stay in a tent but not here.

we booked for a 10 night stay. when we checked in the tub was full of brown soap scum, the toilet had a yellow slime in the bowl and dribbles down the front, there was a brown liquid spill on the bathroom floor i hope it was coffee, there was coffee and sugar all over the counter, the tile floor was covered in sugar and more coffee spills, the carpet had crumbs everywhere. the micro and fridge had hand-prints on them. we had to wait til 5: 15 to check in so " housekeeping could mop and give us clean towels". not mopped but we got clean towels. I had to clean the room when we arrived because we called the office 3 times with no answer and the office was closed at 5pm. after 2 days stay we left a note asking if we could please have the carpet vacuumed? You do not get the room cleaned during your stay. you have to fill out a request card for clean towels, and toilet paper or coffee supplies daily. they will not enter your room. they ask you to put your towels and garbage outside your door and then your requested items will be put just inside your door. on the last day of our trip we woke up to 1000s of ants all over the counter. we went to the office to request a room change... at first she told us she was booked and didnt think there was a room available... I replied firmly that i was not staying in a room with that many ants... they gave us an upgraded room however it was just as dirty as the last room was when we got there...i did not clean it i was not going to clean all their rooms for them. the room was cleaner when we left after 9 days then when we arrived. I just closed my eyes and took a shower in the am right before we checked out. they did refund one night of our stay. I will not stay there again, nor will i recommend it to anyone... one last thing...we wanted to use the outdoor pool but it was murky and had lots of green algae on the walls...we looked at it the next couple times we went by...still green ,,,one other patron saw us and said the pool guy was there that day (Wednesday) and the pump isn't circulating. he said the ph and chlorine were good. i replied i am not going in a green pool..when we mentioned it to the office when we changed rooms 4 days later she said the pump stopped working this morning (Sunday) and she put a sign up.

For a quick mountain getaway, I booked a two-queen bed room for me and my spouse five days before arrival July 23. We already knew the property was aged but beautifully landscaped and rather quiet. We did not expect such a cramped room in the 8000's room number with a musty odor as we did, however. The odor actually followed us home through our worn clothing and rested in our CPAP tubing as well. We reported the odor but were not offered a different room...seems the property was "booked." This all the while the rooms above us one floor were untouched, and several balcony rooms were unused across the property where folks were staying. We likely won't return here for the price of $182 a night including taxes. Also note that there are few places to eat in Townsend, and the town rolls up the sidewalks at nine p.m. Cell service is very limited as well.

The grounds are beautiful, there was unfortunately a lot of trash everywhere, not sure if it was blown in or not. The staff was great!! The rooms could use a lot of repairs, but seemed clean when we came in.This is our second stay here and it hasnt changed much in the few years in between. I would recommend it if with animals or children.
