Our stay with Kathy was amazing! She made reservations for us at two top restaurants in the area that we really enjoyed. Her breakfasts were also top notch. We feasted on a salad from local produce, quiche and delicious coffee cake. Our place setting was beautiful. The view from the spacious deck is breath taking. Could have stayed a couple of more days!

This place is everything you would expect of a B&B at this level. If you are looking for a place to get away from everything, enjoy incredible mountain views while also being pampered with elegance, this is the place. The main part of the home and the rooms are beautifully designed and decorated for elegance. Kathy is very accommodating; taking dietary restrictions into consideration and helping plan your stay. If there is something specifically related to food, just let her know and if it is really something outside the ordinary, give a few days notice so she can plan. I really don’t think Kathy could have made our stay any better, which is what you would expect from someone 20 years in the hospitality business. Breakfast was excellent, from the food to the place setting, to the conversations with Kathy. When we decided to go for a hike in the Smoky Mountains National Park, she provided us with a map and directions to the type of trail we were looking for and made an excellent lunch on our return (she was willing to pack it for the trail if we wanted). The house is not too far from Pidgeon Forge or Gatlinburg for dinner and Kathy has some favorite places to recommend and will even setup reservations for you. Although with the views and welcoming decks, I’m not sure why you would want to leave. One piece of advice, don’t miss the sunset which is just off the main level patio. Be sure to plan an early dinner so you are back in time. Honestly, with the three course breakfast you will want to just skip lunch anyway for an early dinner. And if you need a snack later, there are plenty in the very well stocked kitchenette just outside your room with sodas, water, snacks, dining ware (plates, glasses, wine classes, flatware, etc.); even movies and books. With COVID-19, she is taking extraordinary measures to ensure the place is clean, so no need to be concerned with the level of cleanliness. As an aside, we actually spent a lot of time looking for a B&B to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but this one never appeared in our searches, so don’t let that deter you. Our initial reservation was at a different B&B, but an issue with the room forced us to find another place and somehow we stumbled upon it. I’m glad we did, because it is now one of our must visit places in the area.

Our visit to Gracehill was perfect for these times-Covid pandemic and hot summer temperatures. The views are awesome, and Cathy is the perfect hostess. The temperatures are a welcome relief, and the sunsets are spectacular! The rooms are all lovely, with easy access to the porch, with gorgeous views. We felt perfectly safe, as she insisted on wearing a mask the entire time. We were the only guests the first night, and we were easily able to social distance on the second day. The three course breakfast is a highlight, and we are planning a return trip in the fall. Her dinner recommendations are great, so we’ve discovered a hidden treasure in East Tennessee!

Well, what can I say that all the other reviews do not? Kathy was, for me, fascinating to listen to, I would love to have the time to just. sit and drink tea with her all afternoon. Her work as an artist is also sunshine to my eyes. Her breakfasts were most unique and well thought out. The room was perfect and the view spectacular! Smoky mountains are not to be missed in your lifetime;)
