Wonderful accommodations; staff was great to work with! A perfect place to enjoy all 22 of our grandkids! Loved the views, the hike to the top of the mountain, the pool, the piano, the carpetball! The kitchen was set up great for a large group. A most enjoyable time at Bear Lodge.
If you want to get away and have a time with God, this is the perfect place. Everyone in our church was ministered. Place was immaculate. Separate your self from the noise and enjoy a time of relaxation. If you are believer, it helps for you to have good communion with God.
What a wonderful place for a church retreat where there is plenty of room for everyone to find a pace of sanctuary. The setting is beautiful and inspiring. The facilities are top notch with a full service kitchen (everything you need and more). The fire pit and pool are simply amazing!
The lodge was amazing! It had everything we needed and more! The hosts were extremely welcoming and helped to make our stay outstanding. We took 22 high school seniors for their class trip. They ALL thought it was one of the nicest places we could have stayed.
We absolutely LOVED our stay and we can’t not wait to go back! The cabin was clean and homey. Everyone we came in contact with was very kind and helpful. The hot tub was my favorite part. It was our first time staying in townsend and we now prefer it to Gatlinburg. Hardly any traffic and close to Cades Cove. It’s a 30 minute drive to Gatlinburg which is fine with us since we really only spend one day down on the strip. So the rest of the trip is peaceful without all the noise and traffic. My Fiancé proposed to me while we were there. It’s a romantic and quiet spot.
Everything was so perfect in the house. Checking in after hours was easy and a breeze. The home was in a nice and quiet area with such a beautiful view. Beds were comfy for a good nights rest. The home was beautiful inside and out. Perfect size for a family. Love grows best in little houses. Quick response times if you need anything. My family had the best time here.
This was our second year staying at Bear Lodge with children and grandchildren. Weather was sunny all week! We enjoyed wildflowers, biking, hiking, cave trip, horseback riding, as well as meals together, playing table games, and good conversation. Staff is gracious and welcoming.
The cabin was nice. However, there were no TV's in the bedrooms and the hot tub was on the front porch. Because the cabins were placed so close together it was not ideal for relaxing. Not much a view, unfortunately.
Excellent area and beautiful grounds. Plenty of space and well stocked kitchen. Wrap around deck was nice for relaxing. Wonderful hiking that the kids really enjoyed. Horse stables and caverns <5 miles from cabin.
Rainy nights provides us with a glorious evergreen fresh smell each morning. One kiddo in hot tub by 7 am while the other kiddo loved the slope for rolling balls down and up. Enjoyed the front porch.
