This was a quick, one-night stay while we drove Tail of the Dragon. First of all, picture a old-fashioned motor inn with outside entries and park-by-your door vibes with gracious and welcoming hosts and that's what you get with Highland Manor Inn. Check-in was quick and easy; loved using an old-fashioned room key! Rooms (we has two rooms for four people) were clean, comfortable and easy to adjust temperatures. The views were gorgeous and there is plenty of nearby restaurants within a quick drive. Nice to have our vehicles right out front to keep an eye on them. Now - how gracious are the owners? Well, we had a disasterous breakfast in the lobby when we accidentally broke the handle off the juice dispenser. Let's just say it basically drowned the breakfast bar!!! We were absolutely mortified and totally embarassed to have caused such a mess and offered to help clean up. But the wonderful ladies behind the front desk took charge and and told us not to worry. (I'm apologizing again - I'm so sorry!!) All in all, Highland Manor Inn is a comfortable and relaxing stay and we would love to visit again. We'll pass on the juice next time!

3 high school friends in late 50’s on a girls trip. We found coupon in one of the travelers books at rest stop. Called ahead and we got room with tax for about $90. 2 Queen beds, mini fridge and microwave. Very clean, slept like babies, felt very safe. The Grounds were well maintained and the front staff was very helpful and kind. Wi-Fi was great. Cell service is sketchy in Townsend. Location on the main drag through town. Close to everything. Cades Cove less than 15. There was a nice pool. We had the continental breakfast served at the front office. Very nice with lots of window seating to look out. The offered Apple and orange juice, couple of different cereals, hard boiled eggs, assorted pastries, homemade blueberry muffins, bagels and cream cheese and coffee fresh, with full coffee bar. We enjoyed our stay very much. There is a paved bike/walking trail all the way through town.

We arrived late at night, but the owners left us a key in a convenient location, and we were thankful to officially register the next morning. Even though the hotel is on the main thoroughfare, the rooms are located up a hill away from noise and traffic. Accommodations had comfortable bed and spacious room. The room was super clean. I loved having 2 sinks and mirrors. Only thing lacking in room was coffee maker. Enjoyed the balcony outside room at night. The grounds are well kept, with vending and ice. Playground on grounds and picnic area. Continental breakfast was good. There wasn't a clear view of the mountains from our room, but we could see them when we went to breakfast and took some nice pictures of the "smoke" on the mountains. The hotel is an older place, but has been well maintained. Owners are friendly and hands-on. The hotel is conveniently located near Cade's Cove in the National Park, and also restaurants and attractions in Townsend.

Thank you for writing a review of the Highland Manor Inn. I am glad that you enjoyed your visit with us and hope you will come back one day to see us. Next time when you make your reservations, let me know that you would like a coffee pot in the room. We have several and we loan them out to folks who want to have a coffee maker in their room. We also have the coffee! God Bless you and I pray the storms stay away from land.

The place is absolutely immaculate from the room to the grounds. Our room was huge with a private balcony. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Our room had a huge whirlpool tub:). Unfortunately, we were too exhausted to use it:(. I highly recommend this Inn and we hope to be back to stay soo
